Malaysia's largest mini-market chain retailer 99 Speed Mart Retail Holdings filed a draft prospectus on Monday for a domestic initial public offering (IPO), according to Securities Commission Malaysia's website.
The company, founded and which first started out as a traditional sundry shop by entreprenuer Lee Thiam Wah in 1987, plans to offer up to a 17% stake, or as much as 1.43 billion shares, the draft prospectus showed.
About 85.3% of that will be sold to institutional and selected investors and the balance to retail investors, according to the preliminary prospectus.

The draft prospectus did not provide the IPO price, its size or timeline.
The company said proceeds will be used for expansion of new outlets in Malaysia, establishment of new distribution centres and the purchase of delivery trucks, among other things.
It will also use the proceeds for repayment of existing bank borrowings.

99 Speed Mart targets to open on average 250 new outlets annually with an immediate target for around 3,000 outlets operating nationwide by end of 2025.
It currently operates 2,542 outlets across Malaysia and 19 distribution centres.

CIMB Investment Bank is the principal adviser, sole bookrunner, sole managing underwriter and underwriter for the IPO

IPO: KJTS Group Bhd - ACE Market

KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 5): ACE-Market bound building support services provider KJTS Group Bhd has set its initial public offering (IPO) price at 27 sen per share, aiming to raise about RM58.9 million under the listing exercise.

Based on the IPO price of 27 sen per share, KJTS is expected to have a market capitalisation of RM185.76 million upon listing, implying a valuation of 26 times its profit after tax (PAT) attributed to owners of the company of approximately RM6.87 million and earnings per share of one sen for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2022 (FYE2022).

At its prospectus launch on Friday, KJTS said the IPO will involve the issuance of 218.03 million new ordinary shares, representing 31.69% of the enlarged share capital.

Out of these, 168.63 million shares or 24.51% are allocated to institutional and selected investors, while the remaining 49.4 million shares or 7.18% are for retail offering.

The retail offering, meanwhile, consists of 34.4 million new shares or 5% for the Malaysian public via balloting, and 15 million new shares or 2.18% for the eligible directors, key senior management, employees and persons who have contributed to the success of KJTS and its subsidiaries.

KJTS and its subsidiaries are principally a provider of building support services focusing on providing cooling energy, cleaning and facilities management (FM) services.

For FYE2022, KJTS registered RM7.16 million PAT, up 19.73% from RM5.98 million PAT recorded in FYE2021, as revenue rose 10.78% to RM94.44 million from RM85.25 million.

KJTS intends to distribute an annual dividend of 20% of its PAT attributable to its shareholders.

Applications for the IPO are open and will close at 5pm on Jan 11. Hong Leong Investment Bank Bhd is the principal adviser, sponsor, sole underwriter and sole bookrunner for the IPO exercise.

KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 27): TSA Group Bhd is pricing its shares at 55 sen apiece, seeking to raise some RM42.53 million through an initial public offering (IPO) on Bursa Malaysia’s ACE Market.

At 55 sen per share, the industrial hardware products and stainless steel pipes and metal products manufacturer is expected to have a market capitalisation of RM170.12 million after listing, valuing the company at about 4.23 times its price-earnings multiple — based on a net profit of RM39.85 million for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2022 (FY2022).

At the prospectus launch on Wednesday, the group said RM42.53 million of the proceeds will be raised from the issuance of 77.33 million new shares, representing 25% of its expanded share capital of 309.3 million shares.
