Worried about my PSU

My current setup:

Processor: i5 2400
Motherboard: Asus P8Z68-V LX
Ram: Kingston Hyper X 1600 2GB * 2
HDD: WD 500GB
DVD ROM: Samsung Sata DVD
Cooler: Cooler Master V6GT
Casing: Cooler Master USP 100
PSU: Cooler Master Extreme Plus 550W
GPU: Asus ENGTX560 Ti DCII TOP

I'm completely noob in hardware, I bought this desktop pc 2 weeks back and the shop didn't really mention about the risk of my PSU not be able to supply enough voltage. It was when I was doing some online research and found out that my GPU needs a minimum of 550W PSU to operate.

I am worried that the PSU will crap out my whole rig someday, some of my friends said its fine and some said I am putting my PC in danger..

I am going to add on a GTX560 Ti next week, did a calculation at cooler master's website and found out this setup will run on around 416W but a few friends said that the power supply wouldn't hold it..
