Audi rims on Mercedes

Looking to upgrade rims on my old Mercedes W211. The spec of the Mercedes (from wheel-size.com) is as below:

PCD : 5x112
Center Bore : 66.6 mm
Offset : 36 - 40 mm

I like the looks of an Audi rim, much nicer compared to Mercedes. And cheaper too. When I asked Google and ChatGPT, both of them said that Audi rims will not fit because of a smaller center bore. But the wheel has this spec:

PCD : 5x112 (same)
Center Bore : 66.56 mm (only 0.04 mm difference!)
Offset : 39 mm

Surely the 0.04 mm difference will not be a problem right? That's less than a thickness of a hair!

Has anybody successfully installed Audi rims on a Mercedes before without needing to enlarge the bore? Or use adapters?

Lexus IS250 vs GS300?

Planning to buy old car, either IS250 or GS300. My criteria is Toyota reliability, V6 with rear wheel drive. Below RM 50k. Pretty much narrowed it down to these 2. I see GS300 is a bigger car, should be more comfortable, but much cheaper than IS250? Why is it so? Is GS300 not a better car than IS250? I am gravitating towards GS300, although I prefer the looks of IS250. Is GS300 harder to find spare parts compared to IS250?

LED downlight

Anybody using this kind of LED downlight, either square type or round type? The type that needs to be clipped onto your plaster ceiling?

What happens if the downlight rosak? You change the entire thing?

The problem with this kinda light is that you can't just change the lightbulb like we used to (the screw on type, E27 type). You will have to undo the clip that is fastened to the ceiling, unscrew the wire, and screw a new light in, and somehow clip it back onto the plaster ceiling. And effectively this is more work than just screwing in a lightbulb. Not to mention the amount of plaster ceiling that is created by this clipping and unclipping process. Also not all connectors are the same. Some connectors are round, some are square. So you end up needing to do wire stripping to connect! Then there is the problem with the LED driver (the square thing that comes with the light). They say it will last forever but experience tells me that you will need to change it anyway.

The whole experience with this kinda light is just so annoying compared to screw on bulb!

What is your suggestion guys?

How to make the car quieter?

I have a Vellfire ANH20. I feel it's very noisy, I can hear all sorts of noise from the road, motors zipping beside me, the tyre hitting uneven surfaces on the road. I checked, the tyre is 5 years old, but still has more than 60% thread.

So here's the question, what can I do to reduce the noise coming into the car? For the same price (around RM2k), I can change all 4 new tyres, or I can add sound proofing to the doors and floors.

Which one would be the better solution?

Anybody who did sound proofing can share their insights? Especially if you have done on the Alphard / Vellfire?

[WTA] - How to change internet provider?

If I want to change from old Internet Service Provider (ISP) to new ISP, where should I go to first? Old first or new first?

Let me explain my scenario. I am now using Maxis Fibre. No more contract liao. I want to switch to Celcom Fibre. I registered my interest with Celcom, and they called me back. They told me that I should go to Maxis and get a Transfer Request from them. OK so I went to the nearest Maxis Centre today, queued up like one freaking hour! Then the guy at Maxis told me that I should get the Service request from Celcom first! WTF! I wasted 2 hours of my time for nothing?

So now they are kicking me around like a ball, neither one willing to accept me. So how now? Which one should I go to first? And how to convince them? Is there are rule in MCMC or something about who should trigger who first?

WTA Power line UPS - Anyone did this before?

You guys know what is an UPS right? Uninterruptable Power Supply. Basically it is installed between a power line and the electrical item (example computer).

But I want the UPS to sit before the power plug. Meaning between the main power fuse box and the power plug. I don't want the ugly UPS to sit on my desk, I want it hidden, maybe in the fuse box.

Is there something like that? If I can do that, there is a lot of possibilities. I can make sure my IP camera that I plan to install will always have power, even though the thief cuts power to my main switch, for example.
