Role: part time academic to handle Visual Effects Production for a Bachelor Programme.

Remuneration: RM80 an hour (Classes will be at minimum 3.5 hours a week). Total of 14 weeks including administrative work (grading of assessments)

Requirements: We are looking for a seasoned (or relatively new) VFX guru to help with grooming the next set of VFX practitioners to hit the market. Preferably with a Master's degree in specialised field OR Bachelor Degree in related field with minimum 5 years experience in the industry. Teaching experience is not necessary but will be advantageous. Must be able to converse and write in English as the programme is conducted in English. Specialist knowledge in Adobe After Effects and Nuke is a MUST. Working knowledge in Houdini will be advantageous. Lastly an affinity in wanting to impart practice based skills to the young adults.

The Idea
Call it hipster, call it designer suite, call it minimalist but fact remains that all of us should have a livable space to express our freedom and creativity. I designed the space as a student for students. I didn't want a generic design that other units had, neither did I want a bare unit meant for cash strapped students. I wanted a unit where each tenant would feel comfort returning to at the end of a tiring lecture without feeling the pinch to pay for these comforts. No doubt the cost of setting up is huge but my philosophy is your gain.

The Devil in the Details
- Fully furnished with utensils, plates & new mugs, new pots and pan, (Just bring your luggage and personal stuff).
- Blackout curtains in all rooms for the sleepyheads.
- All rooms come with LED lighting, fan, Air conditioning (Subsidized RM100 per monthly bill, the remainder shared by Tenants thru individual meter reading), study table, bed with mattress and bed sheets (ALL NEW and not used before).
- Both bathrooms furnished with electrical water heater, bidet and HUGE mirrors for the vain.
- Electrical appliances include a microwave, water filter (at kitchenette), 7kg washer, 4 cooker ceramic hob with range hood and fridge; everything needed to get you started.
- Living room has a 3 +2 seater sofa, with 100Mbps Internet (added cost to rental if more bandwidth needed) and lots of comics, mags, books to keep you company whilst the world passes you by.
- Dining room has a table fit for 5 knights and a King ... or Queen.
- All cleaning equipment provided - Mop, Broom, Bucket, Cloth and Cleaning Agents
- Facilities include free to use Swimming pool, Gym, Playground (suitable for some hazy drunken nights) and Rooftop garden (for the special romantic nights). Rental of BBQ pit and event area (for entertaining mates and more dates).
- Secured to keep unwanted individuals out with access cards only to the floor of your dwelling.

The Deal
There are only 3 rooms available.

a. Master Bedroom with bathroom attached. (twin sharing) Rental is RM600 per pax. Security Deposit is 2 months and Utilities Deposit is RM250 (includes access card, TNB/Syabas and Internet)

b. Premium Single Room, rental is RM700. Security Deposit is 2 months and Utilities Deposit is RM250 (includes access card, TNB/Syabas and Internet)

c. Regular Twin Sharing room, rental is RM500 per pax. Security Deposit is 2 months and Utilities Deposit is RM250 (includes access card, TNB/Syabas and Internet).

** more details regarding the rent will be explained during inspection of unit.

d. Carpark is RM80 a month, located at level 1 near the lift.

e. Maid services provided (if needed) as added cost.

The Not So Fine Print
i) Strictly no pets (cats, dogs, frogs, snakes, lizards ....basically no animals except humans), the apartment management has a strict policy against pets and if found, the tenant may be asked to vacate the unit with all deposits non-refundable (violation).

ii) The unit is open for rental to all Malaysians, preferbly KDU Students but not restricted to. Interested parties will need to meet the landlord and there is strictly no sub-letting out to other parties (I prefer if the tenants knew each other prior) and preferably no guests staying longer than 1 week.

iii) No curfew and No Gender or Race segregation. We practice true 1Malaysia here NOT 1Donation. Each tenant has their own door keys for added protection.

iv) All other details discussed during meet up. BTW the Acer laptop, Mouse and Messenger Bag (in the images) is NOT included in the rental of the unit but for illustration purposes only.

My Aztech DSL 305E just died yesterday, so i shopped for a new modem. Previously i had been using a DI 524 with the Aztech and there was no problems in connecting to the internet. I just needed to setup the DI524 wireless router with my streamyx username & password and everything was sweet. So since that modem died (DSL light wouldn't come on anymore) i thought buying another DLINK would just be the same simple process.

Now i can't connect to internet via the wireless router. I plugged the modem in, all lights working. tried to connect. can't. i resorted to plugging straight to the modem and went into the 192.168.1.1 and setup my username/password and all the neccesary PPPOE settings. it works when plugged straight but not when diverted thru the DI524 wireless router.

there must be something i'm missing. im not too familiar with bridge mode etc. can someone pls help explain step by step how to get the wireless up and running again? thanks in advance
