Unifi - no installation until 24 Aug?

I had a scheduled Unifi installation on 8th Aug for 11am.

At 8am on the same day, I got a SMS (not call) informing that the installation is postponed, requesting me to call to their call center to follow up.
When I did, they mentioned to me that there is a 'major equipment' breakdown and it's affecting the Unifi installation at landed house in entire country.
And they estimated that they could only start installation on 24th Aug, which I find it absurd.

1. What kind of equipment that could disrupt installation for entire country?
(answer from call center: not sure sir)

2. Why did it take so long to recover?
(answer from call center: not sure sir)

3. How will the chaotic rearrangement be like? Until now they have not called me for rescheduling. I would assume if 8th Aug was the first day of service disruption, I would be sort of in the front part of queue.
(answer from call center: our team will call you again)

Funny thing is, 2 days before my originally planed installation on 8 Aug, they called me to confirm the date and 'reminded' me if I cancelled my appointment on the same day, I was subject to penalty of RM100 for not giving prior notice.
Now I asked them back, since now it's YOU that cancelled my appointment on the same day, and delayed for 2 weeks, what penalty are YOU subject to now?
(answer from call center: sorry we're not sure)

I want to know if there's any other victims like me here that didnt get Unifi installation done between 8-23 Aug?

Hi,

I have paid an amount of RM2400 for a pair of security doors. Dual layer.
But due to complication of my house renovation, I could not install the security door to my house.

Thus:
a. I am letting go the deposit which i paid
b. You can get to transfer such deposit to your name, and get this discounted deal. You can utilize the value for other door designs
c. It is suitable for people who wish to get security door for their house for enhanced protection.

Details:
a. The product is sold by THC Security Door. You may check their product catalog here.

b. Product which i booked is for Dual Layer Security Door - artistic design. Please note product P1-W84, P1-W85, P1, W86 in the catalog.

c. It was planned to be used for my kitchen door. But it doesnt fit my kitchen due to size issue.

d. I made full payment of RM2400 before April 2015, thus it is not GST liable. And there is already rounds of price adjustments due to weakening ringgit. Thus it is definitely cheaper than the price you can get in market. I learnt from THC the price now is RM2700-2800 for the same pair of door.

e. If you're interested:
- I can arrange with the person at THC to transfer name to you
- You will pay me back RM2400 for the deposit which I paid
- You can change to other designs
- You can change to other door types (but for which value needs to be higher)

Reason for sale: I bought this Fotile JQG9009 hood during the past Homedec. Vendor provided us additional 2 years warranty, thus it has a total of 5 years warranty, compared to standard which is 3 years warranty only.

Reason for selling is because I decided to keep my existing hood which is still functioning (for cost saving reason).

This hood is now with me ready for collection anytime. For people willing to self collect, I am willing to discount further a little bit.

Get opinion on glass panel stability

Hi,

My house is undergoing renovation and my contractor has proposed this following kitchen design.

My wife and I have concern about having the glass panel on top of the door. We dont know if it will be risky to have a large glass panel so high and below door which it will basically be opened/closed several times in a day.

Of course it all depends on the actual workmanship of individual. But just wondering if general this type of design poise any risk.

My friend requests me for opinion for his potential new car. For discussion and opinions gathering purpose, I would like to see how would other people select.

Below are my friend's criterias:

1) Budget below RM150k.
2) Doesnt mind second hand value
3) My friend is currently a single guy and plan to use the car for 5-7 years
4) Mostly city driving
5) Want to have ease of serving car (not difficult to find service centers and spare parts)
6) Doesnt prefer big CC but doesnt mind either

Please, kindly refrain ur suggestion to only electronic items or clothes only, as I've seen other ppl suggesting stuff like sports cars before T_T

The item should cost less than USD1000 and cost relatively much more in Malaysia (like that only worth buying mah! )

I'll be starting my career as an IT Engineer. Now I only know i'll be supporting the application of SAP, but I do not know in details wat i'll be doing yet.
