Celcom 3G rants!

When it first started out, Celcom 3G was one of the cheapest and most popular "broadband" solution to internet surfing in Malaysia. I started subscribing to the service (the RM68 package) end of 2007. At that time it was really like what most ppl said; fast, reliable and cheap.

However, since early middle of 2008, the service drop to a level which is worse than streamyx or even dial-up especially peak hours. More and more downtimes, incomplete downloads, and poor 3G signal (even in KL). I'm not sure whether it's due to the increasing server load or just the same old Malaysia broadband standards. With all the new technology coming out (WiMax etc.), this kind internet quality is a embarassment if u want to compare to those at our neighbouring country.

I'm currently using the Celcom 3G in Muar, signal is full but only sufficient for web surfing only. Online game- out, Torrent- out, Skype- out.

It's nice to hear your complaints (or compliments) of the 3G service too..
