So Kedah and Penang dissolve tomorrow. Left N.Sembilan dissolve on 30th and Terengganu still havent announce when will dissolve but Terengganu DUN will dissolve automatically on 30th

Woman lodges police report over alleged sexual assault at water park

PETALING JAYA: A woman has lodged a police report for alleged sexual assault by a lifeguard at a water park in Selangor on May 13.

In an Instagram post, the victim said she made the report at the Bandar Kinrara police station on May 18.

She claimed she and her boyfriend went to the water park to celebrate their anniversary.

After the couple went down a water slide, the victim claimed that one of the two lifeguards on duty had pulled her out of the water by grabbing her breasts.

The victim and her boyfriend then made a formal complaint to the water park’s management and received an email on May 15 stating that an investigation was under way.

She claimed the water park’s head of public relations informed her boyfriend that the lifeguard in question was trying to save her and had grabbed whatever body part he could.

She said that on May 16, she received a formal apology from the water park’s general manager, stating that the company would be reviewing its standard operating procedures to better conduct life-saving techniques.

In response, the victim then listed three demands, failing which she would share details of the incident on social media.

She demanded for an update on the action taken against the lifeguard, an apology from the lifeguard and for the water park to include signage to warn patrons they may be “accidentally touched inappropriately when being saved”, and what to do in such instances.

The victim said the water park responded on Friday by claiming that the lifeguard had acted after he noticed that she was not moving underwater for up to 20 seconds. He also claimed that he had grabbed her lower abdomen.

FMT has reached out to the police and the water park for comment.

1MDB Suspect brought back

MACC brings back suspect in 1MDB, SRC case

PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has successfully brought back a suspect involved in the agency’s investigation of the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) and SRC International Sdn Bhd (SRC) cases.

A source said that the suspect, who is being investigated by the MACC on suspicion of receiving money from the misappropriation of 1MDB and SRC funds, arrived at Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA2) at 3.30 am on Wednesday.

Upon his arrival at KLIA2, the man, who had been missing since 2018, was handed a notice to appear at MACC headquarters in Putrajaya at 10.00am yesterday.

MACC officers then recorded his statement, and his house was searched on the same day.

When contacted, MACC chief commissioner Azam Baki confirmed the arrest.

RM16 million recovered, suspect repatriated in 1MDB, SRC International cases

PUTRAJAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) successfully recovered RM16 million and brought back a suspect in the 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) and SRC International Sdn Bhd (SRC) investigations recently.

A MACC source said the repatriation of the suspects from Singapore was a result of the close cooperation between it and Singapore's Commercial Affairs Department.

He said this latest success came when an individual, who is under MACC investigation on suspicion of receiving money from 1MDB and SRC funds arrived at Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 2 on Wednesday at 3.30am.

"Upon arriving, the suspect who has been missing since 2018 was handed a Notice of Order to appear at the MACC headquarters at 10am yesterday (Thursday). His statement was recorded by MACC officers before they searched his house, the same day," he said.

The source said checks showed that the suspect received money from the misappropriated 1MDB and SRC funds through a company bank account, registered under Wright Shaw Ltd.

"Prior to this MACC was in collaboration with Singapore's Commercial Affairs Departments which successfully seized the account belonging to Wright Shaw with approximately US$5.2 million.

"Investigations there also proved that the suspect had received money from the 1MDB funds through a Yayasan Rakyat 1Malaysia (YR1M)."

The source said, on April 26, MACC managed to retrieve an estimated RM16 million from a company known as Totality Ltd owned by 1MDB's former executive director of business development, Tang Keng Chee.

"Tang Keng Chee, or Casey Tang ,was the executive director of business development of 1MDB from 2012 to 2013.

"Prior to that he was involved in with Terengganu Investment Authority (TIA, which was what 1MDB was know as) until 2011.

"The conspiracy was to mislead the bank and hide certain facts from the board of directors of 1MDB to transfer US$700 million to Good Star Ltd, allegedly owned by Low Taek Jho (Jho Low)," said the source.

He added that the MACC had also issued an arrest warrant (Interpol Red Notice) dated June 29, 2018 against Tang, who still cannot be traced.

Tang is believed to have disappeared after he was found to have committed an offence under Section 23 of the MACC Act 2009 and Section 28 of the same act in 2018.

Meanwhile, MACC chief commissioner, Tan Sri Azam Baki confirmed the success and said that MACC is now trying to bring back some more assets from the individuals in Singapore.

MACC has so far managed to recover approximately 70 per cent of 1MDB's assets, involving a total of RM28.3 billion.

'That's a problem': Indonesia's coronavirus vulnerability revealed

Jakarta: Medical experts have raised concerns about Indonesia's ability to detect novel coronavirus, potentially leaving a number of undiagnosed cases on Australia's doorstep.

The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age can reveal that Indonesian medical laboratories lack the testing kits needed to rapidly detect the Wuhan coronavirus, according to one of the country's leading molecular biologists, and the virus may already be present in the country despite government claims of no infections.

The specific reagents — chemicals used in testing kits to help analyse and identify the Wuhan or novel coronavirus — are not yet available in the country. These required reagents are only due to arrive in Indonesia in the next few days.

In the interim, the country's labs have only been able to detect the presence of the coronavirus family in a potentially infected person. This family of viruses also includes the common cold, and the MERS and now-extinct SARS viruses. The country is yet to positively confirm a single case of the novel coronavirus.

To identify an infection of the novel coronavirus from China, which is also known as 2019-nCov, medical authorities in Indonesia have to detect the coronavirus family in a person and then genetically sequence the results, a process which can take five or six days.

Professor Amin Soebandrio, the chairman of Jakarta's Eijkman Institute for Molecular Biology, which is involved in the testing and gene sequencing work, confirmed to The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age that the reagent — which can reduce the time taken to detect the coronavirus to a few hours — was due to arrive in Indonesia soon.

"We are in the process of obtaining the specific detection kit for the 2019 novel coronavirus. We expect that in the coming few days we will receive the specific kit so we don’t need to do the gene sequencing," he said.

"We won't need to do the two steps [to confirm an infection]."

Professor Amin said the institute was involved in the testing and gene sequencing work being conducted. He conceded it was possible that novel coronavirus was present but undetected in Indonesia, noting that near neighbours, including Singapore, Malaysia and Australia, had detected cases.

"If you ask if it's possible, of course there is a possibility but we don’t have evidence yet. Currently, we don’t know if the virus has entered Indonesia or not."

Novel coronavirus emerged in Wuhan, China, and has spread to 19 other countries. Australia's south-east Asian neighbours, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia and the Philippines, have all reported cases. Indonesia had not reported any confirmed cases.

These other nations in south-east Asia all have much smaller populations than Indonesia's 264 million people.

China is also one of the top five sources of tourists to Indonesia, with about 2 million Chinese nationals visiting in 2018. Australia is also in the top five, with more than a million Australians visiting Bali each year.

DFAT has not issued any specific advice about travel to Indonesia or other south-east Asian countries on its Smart Traveller website, though there is universal advice about the novel coronavirus.

University of Queensland professor of virology Ian Mackay said the arrival of the specific reagents needed to test for the new strain of coronavirus would be "good news for Indonesia" — and the region — in the fight against novel coronavirus.

"What we are are trying to do at the moment internationally is lock this virus down and stop it spreading. If you can’t identify it [the virus] in a traveller, that’s a problem. Checking someone’s temperatures only works if they have a temperature," he said.

The World Health Organisation declared the novel coronavirus a public health emergency on Friday.

More than 8000 coronavirus cases have been confirmed worldwide, with the vast majority in China.

At a press conference on Thursday, the Director-General for Indonesia's Health Ministry's Disease Prevention and Control unit, Anung Sugihantono, said 16 people had been under surveillance by health authorities and eight remained under monitoring.

The suspected cases have been in Jakarta, Bali, Manado and Sorong.

"Up until today, the fact is there is no confirmed novel coronavirus cases in Indonesia," he said.

Anung confirmed that testing was currently a two-stage process involving a test for the coronavirus family and then genetic sequencing. He compared the lengthy process to matching fingerprints, but did not respond to requests for further information about the absence of specific reagents.

There are 243 Indonesian citizens in the quarantine zone in China, and President Joko Widodo has ordered they be evacuated immediately.

But i know in china you need to register yourself if stay at rental room or any place which is not hotel.
anyone have trouble registering at police station if stay in airbnb and do the airbnb owner allowed you to register?

another year, another trip to china again..

im heading to yunnan next march, already bought my one way ticket to Kunming from airasia..

the places that i will visit should be shangri-la,yu long snow mountain, dali, shaxi and lijiang..the whole trip is about 10days.. do you think it is enough?

im gonna take flight from kunming to deqin airport, but i can't seems to find any information on how to get to shangri-la from deqin airport, anyone been there before can give me some tips?

any reconmmendation on where to visit or any hidden gems which you think i should go ? as i still havent plan my itinerary so in those places where should i go also i havent do homework yet..

Breaking : 'Hostage situation' in northern French

Reports say that a group of armed men may have taken hostages in the northern French town of Roubaix.
Local media said the incident took place at around 19:00 local time (18:00 GMT).
Witnesses reported gunshots being fired. Media reports say the area has been closed off by police.
The incident does not appear to be related to the ongoing security situation in France following the 13 November attacks in Paris.

Light plane crashes into Tokyo residential area

TOKYO: A light plane crashed into a residential area of Tokyo Sunday, setting fire to several houses and reportedly killing three people and injuring five others, according to officials and local media.
The aircraft with a 36-year-old pilot and four passengers on board crashed at around 11:00 am (0200 GMT) shortly after take-off from Tokyo’s Chofu airport, public broadcaster NHK reported.

“Four people were involved in the accident and three of them were rescued, but we don’t know about further details, including their condition,” a spokesman at the Tokyo Fire Department told AFP.
NHK, quoting police, said two people on board and one female local resident were killed in the accident, while five others were injured.
Jiji Press said the two casualties aboard were the pilot and a male passenger.
Immediate confirmation of the reports was not available.

A female witness told AFP: “First, I thought a large truck had crashed into a neighbouring house as I heard the rumbling of the earth. I then saw ferocious smoke.”
At least three houses and two cars were on fire in the residential district of Chofu only some 500 metres (yards) from the airport.
The crash also damaged the roofs of other houses nearby, according to the spokesman and local media.
“I thought it was flying quite low and then I heard a bang,” a local resident who witnessed the crash told NHK.

Television footage showed firefighters battling the inferno, as well as the remains of the plane’s tail that had squashed a car.
It also showed flames engulfing one of the houses and the plane’s front fuselage as black smoke rose from the crash site near a school, a baseball stadium and a shopping arcade.
“This place is close to the airport but I’m surprised because I had never thought that an airplane would crash,” an 82-year-old woman told NHK.
The single-engine propeller-driven aircraft was bound for Izuoshima island in the Pacific some 100 kilometres (60 miles) south of central Tokyo for a one-day training flight, local media said.
“I have lived here for a long time and get used to the noise of light planes, but it was obviously abnormal,” Kotaro Sunaga, a 32-year-old businessman, told Jiji Press.
Police have launched an investigation into the accident on suspicion of professional negligence resulting in death, local media said.

recently i tried to cut an image and paste it in another image..but im having difficult with it cause the image which i cut out and paste on to my background image turned blurry...my background image which i save from google looks alright but the image i took and cut out looks so blurry..

so how can i make my image not blurry?

Laptop wifi not working

All sifu, I need your help, I'm using MSI running on window 8 , my wifi was running fine all the while, but then turn on airplane mode and turn it off my wifi is not working, there's no connection showed up, apparently my wifi 2 is off even though I tried to disable and enable back the adapter setting.. Anyone know what is wrong?
