CustomCarrierLogo allows you to customize your iOS device’s carrier logo to something totally different. This is limited to devices that can support data/phone service, so no WiFi-only devices. Some carriers might not be supported because they do not use images for their logos (e.g. Sprint). The good part is that CustomCarrierLogo works WITHOUT a jailbreak on any firmware, so iPhone 5’s and iPad LTE’s work. If you do not see your device/carrier within CarrierEditor in the drop down lists, it means that your device is incompatible.

1. Download CustomCarrierLogo

3. Load CustomCarrierLogo

4. Click ‘Let’s Get Started’

5. On your iOS devices go to Settings > General > About > scroll down until you find ‘Carrier’

6. Go back to CustomCarrierLogo, enter your carrier version, choose your iOS device and carrier and choose what type of logo you want. An image or text.[COLOR=red]
(Select Celcom, DIGI, MAXIS etc)

7. Click ‘Create IPCC Carrier Bundle’

8. You will notice two new files on your desktop. In this case ‘ATT_US_13.3.ipcc’ and ‘ATT_US_original.ipcc’.

9. Plug-in your device to your PC and load iTunes.

10. Hold Shift and click on ‘Restore iPhone’.

11. From the drop-down menu in the bottom right corner, slect ‘iPhone/iPad carrier configuration file ( .ipcc )’ and select the appropriate .ipcc file ( not the original )

12. Reboot your iPhone ( or turn on/off airplane mode )

13. Enjoy.

NOTE: to reverse the process, repeat steps 10-12 but this time choose the ‘ATT_US_original.ipcc’ file

Iphone5 IOS 6.0.1 Battery drain issue- SOLVED

Guys,
I believe many of you have moved or plan to move from your previous iphone to iphone 5 (for me iphone 4 to iphone 5), all of us will do this to backup & restore it to new iphone5 via Itunes. This is the simplest and easiest way to bring up our iphone5 without losing any data etc. HOWEVER, there is a bug that will drain you battery. It is widely discuss in apple forum & i am one of the victim.

1.) A fully charged iphone 5 was unplug from charger at 8.30am and i suffer battery drain issue where around 5 pm onward. The battery only left around 20%, each time reach home the 1st thing i do was to quickly charge the phone. At first i though it was normal due to a larger screen and a faster dual core processor clocked at 1.3Ghz, no phone can have better battery life, also my usage is WIFI never turn off with 3G data plan + 3 PUSH email acct receiving email daily. I even got myself a second lightning cable for backup purposes if i need to charge my iphone5 before i manage to get home on time.

2.) until, i read a post in apple forum 2 weeks later after owning the phone. There is a bug from restoring previous back up to iphone 5 on IOS 6.0.1 that causes this issue. A simple solution is to Navigate to SETTING- GENERAL- RESET- RESET ALL SETTINGS. That is all !! After few days monitoring, the battery life improvement was dramatic ! Now until 6pm, my battery life is still left 62% compare to before less then 20% ! I am very happy to discover this and wish to share with all forumers here! Thanks and i am a happy iphone 5 owner now !

Guide to add Custom Carrier Logos To i4/4S-IOS5

Guys,
I just want to share with you on how you can Add custom carrier logo to IOS5.0.1 (Maxis, DG, Celcom,hotlink etc). I had made a Maxis logo by using photoshop. If someone can contribute DG, Celcom etc.. you are always welcome. Since i am Maxis user.. So only Maxis logos is available for now. Forgive me on my limited photoshop skill.. Here is how you can change your carrier logo it.

1.) Go to Cydia and install Zepplin
2.) Once done, you can find it located at Setting- Zepplin-Theme (by default, there are few theme out there)
3.) Here is how you can create your own theme (I created Maxis).
4.) Use ifile to CREATE a folder call "Maxis"
/Library/Zeppelin/Maxis
5.) Download Maxis logo from the link below and unzip it.Copy all these file named Maxis log.black, black@2x, etched, etched@2x, silver, silver@2x to the maxis folder.

Hi Guys,
I really don't understand why mobile internet is priced at high price where else 3G/HSPDA broadband is selling with lower price. Both uses telco cellular data network with 3G/HSPDA.. One is the phone is build in with 3G/HSPDA modem and the other is using USB 3G/HSPDA as a modem... Can you see the different on the charges below for example.Can some one explain & share. Tq

Galaxy S II banned over 30 European countries!

Big, big news, folks! A court up in the Netherlands has ruled that Samsung Mobile’s Galaxy S and Galaxy S II smartphone infringe upon at least three of Apple’s patents; sales and marketing of the Galaxy S II phone have been ordered to be shut down in over 30 European countries!

Apple filed a patent lawsuit against Samsung for their Galaxy series of smartphones and tablets way back in April. Cupertino mentioned an exhaustive list of patents which they believed were being infringed upon by the folks in Seoul; this list included both hardware and software-based patent infringements. Samsung later counter-sued Apple.

The news comes directly from the court’s website where a press release was published just a few minutes ago. According to the press release, the judge of the court in The Hague (seat of the Dutch government and Supreme Court) has prohibited the sales and marketing of three smartphones by Samsung Mobile, namely: the Galaxy S, its underpowered variant Galaxy Ace and the popular Galaxy S II.

All three phones are in violation of Apple Inc. EP 2058868, EP 2098948, EP 1964022 (among others) based on “slavish” imitation. We were honestly expecting these violations to revolve more around the Galaxy smartphones’ hardware than their software because of the strikingly similar looks of the Galaxy S with the iPhone 3GS.

From the press release:

The judge of the court in The Hague today ruled in summary proceedings against Apple Samsung. The judge prohibited the marketing of Samsung smartphones Galaxy S, S II and Ace for violation of Apple Inc. EP 2,058,868. The judge points off debts based on EP 2098948, EP 1964022, designs, copyrights and slavish (style) imitation.

EP 2058868 is related to the method of scrolling and browsing gallery, EP 2098948 is based on how a “flag” is recorded upon multiple screen taps (used on devices based on Android 2.3.x) and lastly, EP 1964022 is related to how phones are unlocked with a swiping action.

The judge has also ruled that Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1 and 10.1v also infringe some patents, details which are expected to emerge later on. Samsung now has only three weeks to go before the ban is implemented.

WhatsApp For iPad And iPad 2 is NOW Available!

WhatsApp – a very popular cross-platform instant messaging tool – is available on the iPhone and iPod touch but, sadly, isn’t available for the iPad.

Developed by an iOS developer who goes by the name of Lee, WhatsPad removes the “artificial” restriction that WhatsApp has which doesn’t allow it to be used on iPads.

How To Install WhatsApp On Your iPad

iPhone3G No ring or sound from built-in speaker

My wife 's legacy iPhone 3G 8GB suddenly has No ring or sound from built-in speaker.Before that is camera failure and I purchase a camera from eBay and change it myself. Now, it has this problem. Any clue how to fix it? I had open the phone n take out the motherboard to clean it, I had also RESET ALL SETTING. Still no luck to get it work. Any advice?Tq

As we know that ipad/tablet is going more and more popular. After owning your ipad, do you actually reduce the usage of computer? I believe we opts to carry our ipad along during a trip instead of notebook..

As for me, when i get back home. Will be hooking on my ipad2 in front of TV to check email, web suffing, social networking, some games and etc.. I did not turn on my PC anymore.. Pls poll and share your experience here..

iPad 2 4.3.x Respite

I've updated TinyUmbrella for iPad 2 GSM/CDMA users allowing them to restore 4.3.x without the fear of the recovery loop. Assuming you have 4.3, 4.3.1, 4.3.2, or 4.3.3 SHSHs and restore to one of those versions, TU will allow the restore to complete successfully.
It is important to note that I added this functionality so that iPad 2 users wouldn't be left without a way to downgrade to 4.3-4.3.3. It is also important to note that this functionality will only remain for so long as Apple signs the current firmware (4.3.4). Use it while you can!
