Problems connecting to LCD TV?

Hi all,

I currently own a 4870 Palit. For some reason, I seem to have this problem in connecting my PC to the LCD TV (Samsung). Occassionaly, the TV can detect the connection my HDMI. But more often than not, it always says "No Signal". Up till now, I still can't find any solution to this.

Therefore i'm planning to upgrade my GC to a 5850 or 5870. Are there any known problems in connecting the GC to LCD TV?

Connecting ATI 4870 to LA32S81B

Hi all,

A few weeks back, i purchased a 5m HDMI cable (not one of those super expensive ones). So I connected it to my ATI 4870 (HDMI - HDMI) and my AOC Angelo (HDMI - DVI). It worked previously until yesterday. Here's what happened:-

As i normally run a single monitor setup until i want to watch a movie. So I extended my display to 2 monitors via CCC. It worked perfectly fine except for there not being any sound. As I always do, i resetted my computer. From here on, it went downhill. The samsung tv no longer displays (with a "no signal" msg). My AOC Angelo worked perfectly fine. However, at CCC I cannot detect the samsung tv either.

Now, initially, i suspected it was a faulty cable. So i tested the 5m cable on my angelo (HDMI - HDMI). No issues. Both HDMI and DVI ports of my ATI 4870 is working fine and so is both cables. So can anyone please shed some light into this issue of mine??

Any help is deeply appreciated.

Thanks!

Upgrading HD 4870 (512MB)

Hi,

My question is, is it worth upgrading HD 4870 to HD 5770?

From what I see, the only diff is just the DX11 and eyefinity.. Everything else sorta pales in comparison am I right? Oh, more efficient too I guess..

Also, I heard that once the latest drivers are out for 5770, there will be a performance gain?

Hi Fi to Computer

Hi,

I have a pretty old hi fi system and decided to hook it up to my computer.. The thing is, when i run tests, both speakers of my hifi plays only the left channel.. Anyone care to advice?

Just some background info, Currently using mobo 5.1 sound card and recently hooked the hifi up together.. I used a coaxial cable to connect both the right and left channel to a "convertor" (don't know the correct term) which then connects directly into my mobo sound card.. I also have an old school altec lansing acs45.1.. the altec lansing is working fine with both left and right channels.. However, the hifi isn't..

Thanks!
