"A man dressed as a ninja and armed with a sword left 26 special op military members "hunkered down in a hangar wondering where help is," records have revealed.

The violent attack, which is thought to have wounded at least one person, reportedly took place at Inyokern Airport, in Kern County, California, just after midnight on September 18, according to what appears to be a military incident report shared on social media."

"The slightly redacted report states: "[Staff Sergeant] SSG was sitting outside of the Administration Building of the hanger at Iyokern Airfield smoking a cigarette when an unknown person wearing a full ninja garb to include a katana sword walked up to SSG.

"The person wearing the ninja garb stated: 'Do you know who I am?' SSG replied: 'No.'

"The unknown person then asked: 'Do you know where my family is?' SSG again stated: 'No.'

"At this point the person in ninja garb began to slash at SSG, striking his phone and his knee and leg.

"SSG immediately began running through the parking lot and trying to evade the unknown person.

"SSG jumped the fence and entered the admin building. SSG and CPT [Captain] began locking all the doors and calling 911."

The ninja then began kicking and punching doors and windows.

"Unknown person left and returned a few minutes after with a large block of asphalt which he threw through the windows, striking CPT."

The account of the bizarre brutal attack ends with the as-yet-unidentified attacker leaving before apparently being "arrested elsewhere."

A report made by Ridgecrest Police Department corroborates this account, stating an incident matching the account occurred at 1.19 a.m., "on North Airport Road. Iknyokern Airport – with a sword – male subject in a ninja costume – suspect is on foot in parking lot – at least one victim."

Then a second call arrived approximately half an hour via 911, with the log stating: "26 spec op military members doing training at the airport. "Hunkered down in a hangar wondering where help is."

"TANGERANG, Indonesia: A Chinese drug trafficker on death row escaped from a jail near Indonesia's capital after digging a 30-metre (100 feet) tunnel from his cell, police said.

Cai Ji Fan, sentenced to death in 2017 for trafficking 110 kilogrammes (230 pounds) of methamphetamine, broke out of Tangerang prison in Banten last week via the narrow tunnel, which connected to a sewer, officials said.

"This is the second time he escaped," said Tangerang police's chief Sugeng Hariyanto, adding he also managed to get out of the National Police Criminal Investigation Department cells in Jakarta while on remand.

Officials said Cai had invited his cellmate to join him, but he had declined.

Authorities said they had recovered a crowbar, chisel, screwdriver and other tools used to dig the hole, speculating he may have got them from building work being done on a prison kitchen.

Cai's first escape was in Jan 2017 via a hole he made in a bathroom wall using an iron rod.

Along with other prisoners, he then climbed a 2.5-metre (eight-feet) wall, but was recaptured in West Java three days later."

"Editors at Merriam-Webster confirmed on Wednesday that they will revise the word’s definition after a campaign by a 22-year-old Drake University graduate, Kennedy Mitchum.

Mitchum wrote to the dictionary asking it to update its definition. She said that people often use the dictionary definition of racism to argue that something is not racist, on the basis that racism requires a personal dislike of someone based on their race to be real.

In an email to Merriam-Webster, Mitchum wrote: “Racism is not only prejudice against a certain race due to the color of a person’s skin, as it states in your dictionary,. It is both prejudice combined with social and institutional power. It is a system of advantage based on skin color.”

The definition, which incorporates the idea that prejudice alone is not racism (rather, racism requires a system of institutional power behind it in order to function) was put forward by the sociologist Patricia Bidol in the 1970s."

"A teacher has alleged that he was held at gunpoint by several police patrolmen and later extorted of RM8,000 recently.

He claimed the policemen also assaulted him by kicking him in the abdomen and hitting his head several times in the incident on May 4.
...several men approached his car, shining torchlights at their faces and ordered them to step out of the vehicle.
Thinking the men were criminals, he quickly drove off, but they pursued him on several motorcycles.
...he realised that the men were in police uniforms.

“But as I was still suspicious, I suggested that they meet me at the Ampang Jaya district police headquarters.
“However, one of them whipped out a pistol and pointed it at me. I was terrified, so I pulled over.

The teacher said the policemen then searched his car and accused him of trying to run them over and said they could shoot him. After he begged for mercy, the policemen demanded RM10,000 to “settle” the case.
