Stopping email notifications (topic subcriptions)

I have an inquiry about email notifications. Due to the volume of email I receive from LYN from topic/forum replies, I chose to cancel all email notifications. However, I still received emails when there were new posts/replies.

So, I went through the unsubscribe process again but continue to receive emails. Is there something I am missing/doing wrong? The process I went through was "My Controls -> View Subscriptions -> Change to: No Email Notification".

Any help appreciated. Thanks.

I received a couple of emails the past few days about DSLRs and camera stuff from friends, some of whom actually fall for these.
Stolen Items Alert!

Hi

My parents house was burglarized early this morning and two laptops, a digital camera and three cellphones were taken. The sim cards for all the phones were found in the garden, so these people/person knew what they were doing. All the chargers were left (still plugged in and on), so the phones will be sold without the chargers.

Calling upon LYN members who may be in the market for these items to be wary of anyone trying to sell these for cheap/unbelievable prices.

1) Fujitsu laptop (light grey color, very small)

2) Dell laptop (grey color)

3) O2 Xda 3i phone (black color)

4) Motorola Razr (gold color, dolce&gabanna edition)

3)Nokia phone (light blue)

5)Sony Cybershot digital camera (compact)

I know it's a little vague but they all are from my parents place - I will update with models and/or serial numbers when I get the info. Feel free to contact me if you suspect someone is trying to sell any one of these to you and we will follow it up, with the police if needed.

Thanks for the help!!!

P.s. Mods, if I posted this in the wrong forum, please delete/move to the appropriate one (I also copied this to the trade zone).

[WTA] Digital Photo Frame/Display

Hey all

It's my dad's birthday soon and I was thinking about getting him a digital photo frame/display (since buying new camera stuff for him is out of my budget ). He keeps all his good shots in the hard drive and none see the light of day, besides being on the screensaver!

Anyone have any brands they would recommend? I have really only seen one - can't remember the brand or price, but I saw it in the shop at Amcorp (not J-One).

Thanks!

Edit: He uses a D70s, if the memory card matters.

Used cameras? Opinions/buying tips

Hi people

I'm considering getting another DSLR as a backup for my current setup. A Nikon D50 or similar would fit the bill nicely. I'm thinking about getting a 2nd hand one. Anybody have any tips? What should I look out for? Or is it just a bad idea to get a 2nd hand/used one?

BTW I'd only get the body cause I already have enough lenses.
