Alienware DESKTOP Needs Repair

leode — Mon, 19 Apr 2010 10:19:12 +0800

Hello, I own an Alienware DESKTOP ....

... yes, desktop, NOT Notebook. (Those who were at Cyberfusion would have seen it.)

Sadly the Alienware has died... not too much of a surprise since it is a 2006 model (Area-51 7500) and way past its 3-year warranty. As far as I can tell, the PSU works and the power indicator on the motherboard does light up. There is no POST however so no beeping to tell me what might be wrong.

I have done the usual method of unplugging components one at a time (Ram, Video, HDs) but with no POST and no reaction I was puzzled and I was not the only one. I have sent my Alienware to 2 local (Subang Jaya) computer shops who have simply told me after looking at it for a day that they do not know how to repair the machine. (No stock of ASUS P5N32S Motherboards to do swap in tests...)

The second recommended I ask on LYN. So here I am!

Anyone know of any repair shop that might want to attempt to repair my computer? Prefer if near Subang Jaya. (PM Me!)

So WAR has it's own forum section now... w00t!

the main thread discusses everything about WAR... where to buy, how much, cards, servers, lag etc etc... and I felt there should be a thread for just the IronClaw server (where I believe the majority of Malaysians are playing) and so..

Welcome to the Q-World thread. This thread is for discussion of Cubinet Interactive's upcomming MMORPG Q-World.

Q-World will be the 2nd MMORPG to be published by Cubinet Interactive and is developed by the same company that made Perfect World (Perfect World Beijing). It runs on the same Angelica 3D engine but the graphics have been rendered in 'Q-Style' and gameplay tuned more for casual and female gamers.

The game has not yet been released, but Closed and Open betas are scheduled to begin sometime this year (2008).

The official website can be found at: http://www.qworld.com.my/
