I been to kamdar, homepro and some places, and a 10 feet railing cost around rm150++

anywhere else that sells it at a cheaper price?

Neighbour shared wall extended making noise

Hi,

I've recently doing renovation at my place that i just bought, its a very old condo penthouse, i got very annoying neighbour, i asked them if can extend the wall at our balcony to cover up because we want to maintain privacy and also add an extended roof, we even said we will plaster back their side and repaint it. My contractor have recently repainted their side with the management sommore give the contractor the exact code of the wall but the colour is obviously more darker cuz its new paint, now that noisy neighbour make noise again saying i have to repaint their whole balcony becuz that wall is darker than the rest. I want to check what are the rules? Management allowed me to extend the wall sommore. So why is it my problem that i have to repaint their whole balcony just because they said the tone is different colour on their other end of their balcony wall./

Then we filled up that gap and made it square

After that plaster work and repaint my side first

THIS IS THEIR SIDE! ALL NICELY DONE AND REPAINTED! STILL THEY NOT SATISFIED WANT ME TO REPAINT THEIR REST OF THE BALCONY WALLS BECAUSE IT'S SLIGHTLY DARKER THAN THEIR F*CKING FADED PAINT.

So can someone advice me what should i do, i don't want to repaint their whole balcony because i will have to bloody pay for all of it. Is there even a rule or something that i can refer to about shared walls?

Redoing stairs

Anyone here have contacts or can do staircase? I want to close up my stairs and add a storage section. Also close up the gaps between the stairs with plywood lor. Anyone can do this or have contacts?

Appreciate if you guys could give me advice on roofs, I'm looking at getting polycarbonate hollow type roof but not sure which type of pillars to get, either mild steel or wood (not sure which type)

So which would last longer and better choice given our Malaysian climate?

Anyone can share their experiences of their roofs?

so far found very few that does this, cheapest i found is around 23 persqft, if anyone out there has contacts or is supplying those types and below those prices pls pm me.

Want to do sliding door and folding doors as well.

Hi,

I'm going to renovate my place that I just bought, subsale unit.

I'm on a tight budget, so gotta look around as much as possible till i find good prices.

If you guys can share your contacts for cheap and reliable suppliers, i would appreciate it.

Reason im looking for manufacturers is that they're considerably much cheaper than middle man suppliers. There's so much difference in the prices la.

Few things that i'm looking for as listed below

1. Contractor for renovation, mainly hacking, retiling, painting and fixing only. So far all charging more like rm15 per squarefeet just to retille, not even hacking which is ridiculous i read in LW here got much lower than that so appreciate if you can help me out here.

2. Manufacturers for wooden doors:
- specifically folding wooden doors for my balcony. I went all the way to teluk gong in klang to see some factories and found one that sells solid wooden doors for rm120 only, which is super cheap but he doesn't do custom sizes though. But those same doors are sold by middle man supplier at almost rm600. I understand they want to make money but i also want to save money

3. Manufacturers for powder coated alluminium windows, so far cheapest i found is rm36 per square feet

4. Manufacturers for toilet bowl, sink, bath tub, etc toilet stuff la basically.

5. Glass Roof supplier, so far cheapest found is rm50 per square feet.

Reason im looking for the direct manufacturers is because so far i go to all the shops they all have the same brochure for door designs, it seems like they are getting it from the same place but depends on how much they want to charge and make profit, one shop i went charging me 13k then another small shop i went in klang charging me rm2.5k for same size, so much difference, so im wondering it should be much more cheaper if i find the direct suppliers to them right?

Anyways i don't wanna piss any suppliers or sales people here of course so you can pm me if you want to share contacts.

My wife and I caught someone spying into our hotel room and have made a police report, the hotel conveniently said their cctv footages was not recording for the last 3 mths, otherwise we would be able to catch that person bcuz we had one cctv right outside our room. Our privacy has been invaded, and my wife is traumatized over this whole incident.

I know it is one of their staff becuz when the manager called the foreign workers down, one of them didn't show up, and also another couple i found online has also experienced this before, at least 1 mth before we stayed there.

Hope someone here can help out with any recommendations to some lawyers.

employee spying on us in hotel in jln mesui

Hi Everyone,

Just thought I'd share my incident with you all. Over the weekend me and wifey went to celebrate our anniversary in changkat and subsequently booked a room at a hotel at Jalan Mesui, Changkat Bukit bintang. I'm removing the name of the hotel until pending investigation is over.

While we were in the room, we caught one guy peeping through our window, and i quickly hit the window and tried to open the door to see who is it but he fled before i could catch him!

I went down f*cking the management up, and the operations manager, called their staff down and apparently their bangla staff was not supposed to be there after 8pm but they were still hanging around, and one of them was missing as well!

I demanded the cctv footages as there was once cctv right above my room door, but they conveniently said due to technical issues their cctv couldnt record since 3 mths ago! I think they trying to cover line.

I've since made a police report as well, and contacted my lawyers but my lawyers couldnt really advise me on this as they never encountered such an issue. I also saw one more couple posting the same thing on tripadvisor that they also saw a peeping tom at their room window.

I suspect its one of their bangla cleaning staff, but now i have no proof and cant do much! I want to sue the owner for negligence, but we'll see how that goes, anyone who knows any lawyers that have experience dealing with this situation please pm me.

I just want you all to know!

p/s the name of the hotel is also the same name as the road. go figure

land office slow as hell!

Hi All,

All i can say is i can't believe how incredibly slow the KL land office works!!

My parents want to transfer their flat, leasehold 75 yrs still left, strata title, to under my name via love and affection.

Its just finished payment, no more loan left.

So my lawyer has already submitted the necessary complete documents to the land office, so first step is to release the house from the bank apparently, something call a discharge of charge, only then can we proceed into the transfer.

Now problem is ITS BEEN ALMOST 1 YR NOW!! My lawyer has even an acknowledgement sheet of the amount of times he has visited the land office for status updates and still they haven't done jack shit! We are all so damn pissed at how slow they can be.

So i need some advice here, what do we do? we wait until we grow old and die? or can we complain to an external party?

Can i go to the land office and screw some officer up, I heard if you do that then they wont process ur stuff at all............can i even bribe anyone? cuz its getting really tiring.........anyone here got any contacts inside the land office whom i can contact?

1 yr of waiting is a bit too much la.........

any advice ??
