Is System Engineer good?

Hi all,

I am a System Engineer or to be more specific System Specialist. I am a fresh grad and this is my first job. The system i am dealing with is Audio Visual system ( Public Address, Professional Audio, CCTV, Control System, Lighting). Here is my job scope:

1. System proposal, quotation and tender
2. System tuning (best sound and best light)
3. Technical backup (by phone or at site)

i wish to know if in future, i want to change field, do i have to start from zero? Start from zero mean i am treated as fresh and salary will be similar to fresh.
