I'm interested in buying Toyota Vios.

I was wondering, what is the difference, of buying from the sales office published in Toyota official site - http://www.toyota.com.my/sales-service-locator/ , compared with some agents from carlist.com - http://www.carlist.my/new-cars/toyota/vios?sort=price.asc

I just make a few call to perform price check. I realize agents from carlist.com can offer lower price compared with official sales office?

I was wondering, is it better to buy from official sales office, for the shake of peace of mind, by paying higher price? Or, buying from agents from carlist.com will get same quality of car & service?

I'm not really sure this is a correct place to ask such question. As advertising model girl might tightly related to photography industry, I think I will give it a try.

I saw this model girl quite a lot of times, especially in printed media. She is either promoting local made products (Like local retail store HERO mart brochure, RHB investment bank, ...), or some oversea products (Like Avira antivirus, ...)

She looks so famous, as she can almost be seen in most printed advertisements of daily product. I thought I might see a published interview with her in one or two lifestyle magazines. But strangely, none!

Sometimes, I thought, can it be a virtual digital figure that is created by marketing firm, to ease their marketing activities?

Any idea who is she? Is she a real model, or she is just a virtual figure?

Why Some Vios TRD has huge discount

I'm interested to purchase vios.

When I look at carlist, I saw some advertised new car has huge discount.

For instance, vios trd usually cost 90k.

However, some advertised car like http://m.carlist.my/new-cars/2457200/2015-...super-promotion, cost less than 70k

Is there any catcha behind? What else think I need to check from car dealer, to ensure the car I buy is genuine car?

Clutch doesn't lift up immediately when liftup leg

I have a 10+ years old manual car (Kancil 850), still under a pretty good condition I would say.

Recently, I feel its clutch, doesn't perform quite well as expected.

Usually, when I lift up my leg to release clutch, the clutch suppose to lift up immediately as well. I will feel like the clutch is "sticked" on your foot.

Recently, when I lift up my leg to release clutch initially, I don't feel like the clutch is being lift up immediately. My feeling is that, after rising up my foot says for 5cm, only the clutch will start to rise up.

I was wondering, what could goes wrong with my clutch? As far as I could remember, I just changed my clutch system less than 2 years ago, it works well all the time.

Will applying some oil, or lubricant on the "clutch outer joint" help?

As compared to the previous year corresponding quarter ended 31 October 2012, the Group recorded a decrease in revenue and pre-tax profit of 4.6% and 20.8% respectively. The higher percentage decrease in pre-tax profit was mainly due to the corporate exercise expenses incurred pursuant to the proposed listing of STM Trust (which was aborted) in the current quarter under review. The drop in the Group's pre-tax profit would be 8.9% should the corporate exercise expenses be excluded.

To find out how much is spent for corporate exercise expenses

127,827 (Q2 2013)
161,451 (Q2 2012) (-20.8%)

If corporate exercise expenses be excluded.

147,082 (Q2 2013)
161,451 (Q2 2012) (-8.9%)

corporate exercise expenses = 19,255 (In '000)

Even without spending RM19,255,000, we can definitely find out Singapore Stock Market is not suitable for dual listing in early stage.

So, why we need to spend RM19,255,000 to learn this simple lesson? Isn't there is something fishy behind?

I feel the entire transaction is lack of transparency? May I know, what action minority shareholders can take, to get the above question answered?

salam everyone, i had a friend's cat, who tried to hide himself inside a deep drain. my security guard tried to help me to catch the cat. however, maybe the cat is frighten. he attacked and bite the guard.

Avoid/ Reduce 30% Withholding US dividend tax

When I received US dividend, I realized I was being taxed 30% for US dividend withholding tax.

When I registered foreign share trading account with my brokerage firm, I do fill up W-8BEN Form to show that I'm not US person.

However, according to my brokerage firm, I still need to be taxed 30% and cannot claim back.

I was wondering, whether you all encounter same situation as I do? Is there any other ways, to avoid/reduce this 30% dividend tax?
