looking for second hand weights

hi guys,

in a few months ill b heading back to malaysia. so i was wondering. is it better to get my own set of weights or enroll with a gym. thing is i prefer the convenience of having weights at home. but since im looking for quite a considerable amount of weight. 100kgs + olympic bar.. so im actually reconsidering to join a gym.

anyhow, does anyone know where i can get second hand equipments? weight racks, bars, weights etc...

hi guys,

recently i broke up with my gal. its no big deal. i just got bored of her after a year, i guess i cant stand her ticks no more. i just felt that she wasnt pitching in the relationship enough. maybe im wrong but i feel that shes out of my league. i made her happy countless times yet she fails to even tickle me. anyways, i was wondering. in the western countries they have bars n parties to meet new interesting people. how bout our country? where do we go to mingle with the society, meet new people.

p/s: i live in JB, maybe you guys can narrow it down for me.

looking for a good luthier for guitar mods

hi guys,

ive been doing some research on guitar mods, and one of em is applying a guitar bind. it has come to my attention that most of the guitar that has binding will have a huge leap in terms of price. not to forget that it makes the guitar sooo much better. so my question is, does anyone know any good luthier in malaysia or singapore that have experience in these kind of stuff. ( binding, fret crowning, etc )

rare Rare RARe!!!!! raaaare!!!!

have you ever thought that our society has been abusing the word "rare" when it comes to music instrument. have you noticed that as long as they are trying to sell something thats currently unavailable in malaysia's market, they will use the word rare. sometimes ofc its used at the right place. for example a vintage item. but for something that is no longer being produce, it doesnt mean its rare. the problem is when they try to take advantage by jacking up the price. it kinda annoys me seeing the word rare this n that. then again it cud just be me.

so what do you guys think bout this rare syndrome flooding our nation.

p/s its hard to find westerners putting the word rare in every single ad they post online

ive been having buzz problems with my 6 y/o strat, ive deducted that the frets 1-3 are worn down. so does anyone know anyone or anywhere i can get my frets leveled n re-crowned?
i live in jaybee so itll b nice to find somewhere close. n a price quotation would b nice as well.

im planing on customizing a guitar but ive been having difficulty in finding the main parts (body and neck)
im looking for an ibanez rg / jackson dinky body and an ibanez/jackson maple fretboard with reverse headstock..

if anyone knows where to get these things itll b a great help.

currently im teaching myself how to play guitar. everything is going fine but itll be easier to understand the theoretical part if i had books/pdf thatll teach me all the scales n what not.
