I had this annoying bbm problem since 2 days ago.
Very hard to BBM, certain ppl can, while others all cannot.

Hi everyone.

I've subscribed to UNIFI VIP 20Mbps long time ago. Now only I realize something weird.
Every time i download / upload. Highest download rate = 3Mbps, while highest upload rate = 300Kbps.

Few direct questions:-

1) how to maximize my download / upload to above 5Mbps.
2) any configuration that I need to do?
3) can I do it manually or I need to get a software?
4) using firefox, anything to change in "about:config"?
5) check on speedtest.net, it shows 21Mbps download, 19Mbps upload, but REAL ACTION still 3Mbps
for download, 300Kbps for upload. what happened?
6) I don't understand why I can't get max speed in download / upload since my package
was 20Mbps for download / upload.

100% newbie here on networking. Mind to explain/help me to understand? Pissed off

Using unifi, thinking of upgrading from DIR-615 to other brand with a better features. I'm looking for 500mw to 1000mw as well. asus? mikrotik? belkin? kindly help me to solve this puzzle. previously open a thread with a belkin model on hand, no compatible, many ppl ask me to go unifi.athena, i did and read everything 1-by-1, but the fact was - I'm still not convince myself which product are better in terms of performance wise. guide me!!!

My lil brothers external hdd have been infected with this "riede" trojan or virus.
I've used Avira free, norton premium, mcafee premium and it still hiding the folders
inside my lil brother's external hdd. When scanned nothing have been detected. Kindly
advice. Many thanks.

P/s: when I tried to connect the external hdd to my lil brother's laptop, it will reconize it
as a "Local Disk" and not the original name which he put it as "Media".

Just to share, my 9700 have been auto updated by BB Device Manager.
Now it's using OS 6. Original and genuine, not leaked. Super smooth.
Hahaha, this is unit is for sale anyway, playing around for a while.

Problem details
I just got back to my parents house last night for a short holiday, I realize that the internet is unavailable.
My lil bro said he reset it 2 days back and then since then no more internet. How to manually configure, I did
everything I know but still cannot connect to the internet. Tried to configure the modem router till 2AM in the
morning then I gave up and go to sleep lol.

What I've tried so far.....
1. go to 192.168.2.1 and logged in.
2. set up wireless security blablabla and so on
3. now is the main prob.... to set the WAN i don't know i should choose PPPOe or PPPOa?

if PPPOe, what should i put at the username and service?

username = my XXXXX@streamyx? and service = streamyx?

really blur.. helpppp...
