Agriculture Land For Farm Sharing

Hi All, I wonder if anyone has come across or has experience of farm sharing in Malaysia. My friend has a small piece of agriculture land in Perak around 2 acres which is planted with fruit trees primarily. I think the orchard has a lot more to offer than just being a weekend farm.

1. Is there anyone interested to try out any agri related activities or other idea to make full use of the land?
2. Any potential concern / legal issue that we should be aware of?

I know this may sound too general but I am trying to spin off / brainstorm some ideas.

Hi Guys,

I am exploring on certification for PRINCE2 Practitioner. I am going for self study option. Do you guys have any recommendation for training center? Seems like the price difference can vary a lot from one training center to another. Training center is not allowed to let candidates sit for paper based exam if they choose exam only option (i.e. without taking their training course) ?

Hi there,

Can anyone share what is the current price for a Stainless Steel gate? My gate is 10ft x 5ft. Got 2 different quotation:-
A quoted me RM4.8k. B quoted me RM2.8k. That's a RM2k difference! Though I know that contractor A's quality is good, I don't really need that much of quality to be honest.

Any comment would be great!

Hi, anyone can help to answer few questions below?

1. What is the process of buying land? Same as normal prop? 2% for booking, 8% upon signing S&P then lastly 90%?
2. What are the things to check before buying a piece of land?
3. Prop price seems to be rather on the high side now for most of the prime area. Why not much of people are targeting land for investment?
4. Legal fees for land purchasing?
5. Loan for land purchasing? Is it true that land purchasing can hardly get 90% like normal prop?

Agent just told me that for freehold condo/apartment which already got its strata title, there's no such thing as bumi lot or non bumi lot. Bumi can transfer to non bumi just like normal house. Is it true??

Anyone has any idea how good is Villa Wangsamas for investment purpose? So far what I know is:-
1. Maintenance fee at RM0.14 psf.
2. Only 2 sizes available. 1,267 sqft and penthouse 2,562 sqft.
3. Price range for Phase 1 around 390-400k. Phase 2 around 420-500k.
4. Rental around RM2k for partly furnish. RM2.2-2.5k for fully furnish.

If targeting for rental yield of 5.5%, is this a good buy?

Hi,

I am new to this. May I know how to apply for SMS shortcode services and how is the charges?
Any reference I can use?

I refer to this http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/896227 thread but for some part I find it confusing since I'm a newbie.

According to my understanding, these are the steps for applying for sms shortcode services:

1. Apply for a shortcode(e.g 36555) from each telco in Malaysia (Maxis, Digi, Celcom, U-Mobile).
2. Get my hosting for GSM devices and modem.
3. Then>>>>???

Steps 2 requires more explanation as well....
