Mother and father roles

I am a SAHM and I find that I play overwhelming roles to our daughter. Even at rest time, I would read on toddler's development and so forth. On the other hand, hubby's role as father ends when she goes to bed - and he then occupied himself with his own stuff and in-laws stuff.

After being a parent, I just realise a mother actually plays a bigger role than father.

How do you feel about your roles?

Just want to find out if I am TOO involved as a parent or is my hubby taking it too easily?

Fresh milk

My lo is fully bf up till now. She is 13.5 mo. I plan to bf her until she self wean. I just wonder even if I bf her, should I offer her fresh milk too?

Resign b4 year end, need to do kpi?

I have resigned before year end because of personal reason where I am turning into stay at home mummy. I am currentl serving my notice period which ends end Jan . I will not be getting my bonus, as expected. The question is do I still need to do my kpi? Even if I decide to get back to employment, does past kpi help in securing job?

In a fb forum, I saw a lot of mummies, in their delight, share that they gv their babies "Happy puff". It's sth like yogurt that melts in baby's mouth. Well, how good is this actually compared to actual/normal yogurt?

In my opinion, it seems to be no different than "sweets".

Would like to hear ur views.

Contemplating to be stay at home mum

Financially, we have counted that my hubby's income can support but it comes with alot of extra care when spending money and reduction in savings itself.

Have anyone contemplated this? What's your advice?

Currently, I am still working but with all the rush - it is turning to be madness for me after back to work for half a year. Morever, nanny seems to be incooperative when feeding little one and our holiday/annual leave is so much dependent on the nanny who can't give confirmation so soon. In other words, I am tired of this nonsense plus work stress. I missed seeing my baby grow up (although I initially thought my 3 months maternity leave is so hard to get by) - though i do look after her after office hours.

I read over the internet, some say babies teething can cause fever; while some say its myth. but from your experience, did your babies experience fever/ increase in body heat during teething?

Reasons baby cry

Sometimes I am really out of idea why is my baby crying.

Often, she cries because:
- hungry
- diaper wet
- feeling sticky and wants a bath/ body wipe
- wants to play/ talk
- bored of playing
- wants to be carried around
- wants to get back to her bed
- wants to sit up/ prop up
- wants her pacifier

What are the other reasons do babies cry? Babies are innocent - they only can cry to express what they want, but having done everything and they still cry, sometimes it can be frustrating....

I seriously do not hv time. It is about getting the little one ready to go.. I just grab some wearable clothing and on the go... No time for dress up... Aiks, looking sloppy these days... Sigh

Hoping mothers can share the experience. After giving birth, will it be better to have the placenta delivered naturally or to speed up the delivery of placenta by getting synthetic hormone? what are the pros and cons?

Full moon party and angpau

I had an invitation earlier this year for a full moon party. I did not attend because I had something on. Then, I gave my friend an RM50 angpau. (Is there a price to an angpau?)

This time I had another invitation and I am bringing hubby along. Does the angpau amount works the same as wedding angpau where when two persons attend, the angpau amount has to be doubled?

Yes, this is for Chinese full moon party.

How many gynaes do you go to during pregnancy?

I would like to find out if basically, everyone just go to one gynae in the private hospital/ clinic throughout the pregnancy? Or, one gynae in the private hospital plus the one in klinik kesihatan? or, more than one gynaes in the private hospital/ clinic? how do you spot which dr you would like to deliver your baby with?

i am currently with one private gynae, and make checks with KK; i just wonder if i need to search for another gynae for second opinion or to find out if there's other delivery option with another dr? is this a good idea?
