Looking for old school Standalone DVD/HDD Recordef

Hi guys,

Any old-school tech sifus or AV enthusiasts still keeping their old standalone DVD or HDD recorders from the 2000s / early 2010s?

I run a local media preservation project on YouTube called VHS Media Archive. My focus is preserving old Malaysian broadcasting history—stuff from RTM1/2, old TV3, NTV7, Mega TV, and old Astro channel idents/promos before they become completely lost media.

Right now, I am specifically hunting for anyone who might have recorded Disney Channel Asia (Astro Ch 615) between 2010 and 2013 (the "Item Age" era with the glowing bouncing circles/squares branding, local Waktu Rehat promos, or BoBoiBoy Season 1-2 runs).

I’m looking to buy, borrow, or adopt working standalone DVD Recorders or HDD Recorders (those old Sony RDR, Panasonic DIGA, Pioneer, or Philips decks that have AV/RCA inputs) to process old tapes/discs, or just acquire the old media itself.

Note: I am NOT looking for Astro BEYOND PVR boxes. We all know those pay-TV boxes lock down and encrypt everything the moment the subscription is inactive, making the recordings totally useless for archiving. What I'm hunting for:Standalone DVD/HDD combo decks (working condition, can finalize discs).Old home-recorded DVD-Rs or DVD-RAMs containing old Astro channel feeds (especially Disney Channel 2010–2013) or terrestrial TV recordings from the 90s to early 2010s.Old PC TV-Tuner capture cards (AverMedia, KWorld, etc.) if anyone still has them lying around in their storeroom. If you have any of this vintage gear collecting dust in your storeroom, or old raw TV captures you want to pass to someone who will properly digitise and preserve them, please PM me or drop a comment below!

https://pictr.com/images/2026/07/14/x9FDsn.md.png

Attached below is a photo proof of me recording the broadcast of Disney Channel Asia in June 2012.
