Daugther and mom with blue eyes are being bullied

A Korean mother was born with blue eyes, and so is her daughter. The mother was called "the devil's eye," and forced to wear black contact lenses throughout her adolescence. The daughter was called "dog eyes" and ostracized. The father considered sending his daughter to study abroad because bullying in South Korea is so severe.

The mother went on television to plead with people to stop bullying her children, saying, "We are not monsters; please treat us like human beings."

From a young age, the mother was mocked as a cat, a ghost, a devil. She was born this way but no one accepted her, which made her introverted and withdrawn. When her daughter was in elementary school, the teacher called her parents to the school, saying they should have her wear glasses to cover her blue eyes, even though they were normal. In adolescence, she had to wear contact lenses and endure eye infections, because it was better than being bullied.

The reason the mother decided to go on the show was because one day her 5-year-old daughter, "So Eun," came crying and asked, "Mommy, why are my eyes blue?" She didn't like herself because other children disliked her, were afraid of her, and ran away as soon as they saw her face. Adults would also carry their children away as if afraid of catching diseases. The mother didn't want her daughter to experience what she had gone through.

The daughter's father fell in love with her because of her blue eyes, despite the people around them telling them not to stare into her eyes. However, when taking his daughter out to play, the father noticed that people were whispering and talking about her. He felt stressed and wanted to send her to study abroad because Korean schools are known for bullying, and he didn't want his daughter to be bullied.

This is so sad.
