steering rack

I wanted to replace the oil seal for my steering rack as it is leaking but when i tried disassembling the steering rack i found a 8 point bolt securing the preload. i tried searching inline to buy but couldnt find any for sale. so i chisel it. it tooks 1 hour to chisel 1 full round so i resulted to welding a bolt. but the bolt couldnt stick to it so i am lost whether to just buy a new steering rack.

convert k20 cop

I have a campro with wasted spark and i want to convert to honda k20 coils just for fun and learn something new. I found tht the k20 coils are positived controlled by ecu with 5v+ but my waja with wasted spark puts out 12v - for signal. So im wondering if it is possible to convert to cop. And if can, how.

check engine light

hi. my car is proton waja campro with ecu700 siemens. I have been trying to solve this cel forever. Dtc is P0703 which means brake light switch not plausible. I have check with scanner and used the live data function to check if it is registering the brake pedal and it does but i checked it through the abs module as the ecu do not offer such live data. Ive checked the outputs from the brake switch and there is 4 wires where 2 wires will open circuit and 2 wire will close circuit when pressing and depressing the switch and it checks out. I have changed the brake switch not once but twice. the weird thing is the check engine light did go out randomly before but after a few weeks returned back with the same code, not light bulb loose as cel did light up during first few seconds of starting. i have adjusted the brake switch properly many times. NON of the light bulbs are blown and even changed them all out.

so please electrical geniuses help me out as this has been going on after mco where the car sat for 2-3 years and i do not know the condition it was before that.

mods: non (very stock)

i have been thinking if there are any ecu workshops or ecu tuning workshops where they can hide this code so that the cel will still light if got problem but will not light when got this code.

pls give suggestions thank you

toyota cvt fluid

I am going for a cvt service and after buying the cvt fluid from sparepartshop at ctauto i checked the cvt bolt the next day on my vellfire(anh20) and it states TC fluid. during purchase he asked me to take a picture of the vin plate after i asked if the fluid is right and everything checks out. My vellfire is 2012 but plugging in my scan tool during dignosis states 2011 manufacture date. The car cert states 2012. So isit ok to use FE fluid instead of TC?

waja cel cannot clear

My waja has been sitting for 2-3 years during mco and after coming back msia the car started right up and ran perfectly and took it for all the basic maintenance like engine oil, mtf, brake oil and timming belt. But it has a check engine light that i dont remember having before and after confronting a few mechanics they could not figure out the problem and said it was nothing much. I also tried using my own obd2 reader to clear the code but still no use. Thw code is P0703 which says what brake light not illuminated but i check all my brake lights are working and so are my fog lights. I tried unpluging the battery letting it sit overnight but still no use. I replaced the brake switch for the 3rd time with an proton oem and adjusted the switch still no use. I even checked the continuity between pins to check whether it made contact when pedal is pressed and everything checked out. It did however went away one day suddenly but came back after pluging my obd to check something. It did however went away again and this time i did not plug the obd reader in nor touch anything related to the electricals but still came back after a few days. so can some proton experts help me. My waja is campro s4ph non cps.

honda steering wont return center

Hi. So my steering rack on my honda stream was replaced a year ago due to clok clok sound when turning . After replacing the steering it became tight when turning corners and will not return back to center by itself. The mechanic say that it will take time for it to lighten itself and will take about 3months to half a year as it is a recon steering rack and the grease has not set. But till now the steering is still tight and when traveling on highway it is hard to turn and feels dangerious and still wont return back to center. So i need some help to figure out what the problem might be. As i am scared to go back to the mechanic or any other mechanics.

I have done an alignment and wheel balancing already and before replacing the steering rack it was light and had no problems. It is also a electronic power steering.
