KUALA LUMPUR - the capital of MALAYSIA 🇲🇾

This city is called the New York of Asia. It is a combination of traditional and modern, Asian and Western culture, as well as different ethnic communities — Malaysians, Chinese, Indians. A city full of contrasts, where glass skyscrapers rise above old colonial buildings, and as soon as you step out onto the street, the smells of street food mix with the sounds of a modern metropolis. 🍜🏙️

The city is distinguished by the Petronas Twin Towers, the tallest twin buildings in the world, from which an incredible view is offered.

Although Novi Sad is almost three times larger in area than Kuala Lumpur, this Malaysian capital has a population several hundred times larger and a much higher population density.

In addition to all these skyscrapers, there is plenty of greenery on the streets and parks such as KLCC Park (in front of the Petronas Towers), Bukit Nanas Forest (a jungle in the heart of the city), as well as Lake Gardens - a park with walking paths, lakes and a botanical garden. 🌴

We flew from Bali (Indonesia) to Kuala Lumpur and we are full of impressions that this city has left on us in a short time.

We are spending 2 more days here and then flying back to Serbia. We saw that @diskodrugarputovanja also offers a detailed tour of the whole of Malaysia, so it remains on our list to explore all the beauties of this country in the coming years in another beautiful, next time probably family trip ❤️

Malaysia Has Applied To Join BRICS - Anwar

PUTRAJAYA, July 28 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said today Malaysia has sent an application to Russia to join the BRICS intergovernmental organisation.

Russia is the chairman of the organisation that also groups Brazil, India, China and South Africa.

Anwar said in a statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office that Malaysia's desire to join the BRICS organisation was the main essence of his discussion with visiting Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov who called on the prime minister today at the Seri Perdana Complex.

Researchers led by academics at Imperial College London studied data from the UK Biobank study on more than 26,000 people who had completed intelligence, reasoning, reaction time and memory tests.

They then examined how participants’ sleep duration, quality, and chronotype (which determines what time of day we feel most alert and productive) affected brain performance.

They found that those who stay up late and those classed as “intermediate” had “superior cognitive function”, while morning larks had the lowest scores.

Toddlers Critical: Ate Snack Laced With Rat Poison

KULIM: Two brothers, aged 2 and 3, are in critical condition after eating snacks containing rat poison near their home in Kampung Banggol Berangan, Labu Besar, here yesterday.

Kulim district police chief Superintendent Mohd Asyil Mohd Khairi said the boys' mother, 25, found her sons vomiting about 11am.

Asyil said the mother immediately took her sons to the Malau Health Clinic before they were transferred to the Kulim Hospital.

He said investigations found that the brothers likely took a packet of snacks hanging on a wire fence that contained poison intended as a monkey trap.
