I am so sick of Maxis Fibre. Is there a way out?

I've been getting disconnections every month on my Maxis Fibre disconnections and the customer service is shitte. They even took over 1 month to process my relocation recently.

At the moment, I am seeing a blinking red light on the LOS on my modem, and Maxis mentioned that they'll get someone to call me in 24 hours.

Problem is, I still have about 9 months left in the contract. My experience has been so bad that I am willing to pay the termination fee (around rm1,500) and sign up with Unifi instead. I know, I should have read this forum first; only recently realized that Unifi is much better than Maxis in getting issues fixed.

I've been spending on average of rm100 a month buying mobile hotspot passes for myself and my partner, due to the disconnections/poor customer service of Maxis Fibre. This is, of course, on top of my Maxis Fibre subscription that I am paying.

Before I call Maxis for early termination, is there another way out of my contract? Will it be possible to have 2 fibre subscriptions in the same home? It may be cheaper for me to sign-up with Unifi while waiting for my Maxis contract to end.

TIA

Can I don't renew insurance/road tax?

Hi everyone,

I am selling my car to a direct buyer soon (early March 2024). Hope to get some advice from experienced people here.

My current road tax and insurance is expiring on 20 Feb 2024.

As I will be overseas from mid-Feb till early March, can I don't renew my road tax and insurance until I sell the car? I will NOT use the car after the insurance and road tax expires on 20 Feb 2024.

If suddenly the buyer back out, can I renew insurance and road tax in March 2024? Any penalties? And in this case, will I get to keep my insurance NCD?

Thanks in advance!

Transfer new unregistered number to existing car?

Hi guys, I've read a few threads in this forum but don't really understand the procedure.

I have bidded and won a number on JPJ eBid. Is it possible to register the new number on my existing car by going to JPJ? Or is the process much more complicated? I don't need the number on the existing car any more (can throw away).

Thanks in advance!
