[WTT] MSI U270 netbook

I am thinking of swapping my extra netbook/sub laptop for windows tablets.

eg Interested in something like Asus t100, Dual os tablets like teclast x98 , lenovo yoga 2 windows tablet ....

My laptop is MSI U270 and it is currently running 3 operating System :

Windows 10 64bit /
peppermint 7 64bit (Linux Ubuntu 16.04 based distro) /
Remixos beta 32bit (Android x86)

Condition : I think I can safely give it 9/10 internally and externally. Internal operation, never experienced any problem before. Externally, the wear and tear are hardly noticeable unless you look very closely you will see slight scratches, ... missing non-consequential screws ...

sms /whatapps : 019 2599 one - 7 - three

MSI Wind U270

Processor
AMD E-450 1.65 GHz

Graphics adapter
AMD Radeon HD 6320 - 384 MB, Core: 507 MHz, Memory: 1333 MHz

Memory
8GB SO-DIMM DDR3-RAM (1333 MHz)

Display
11.6 inch 16:9, 1366x768 pixel, LED illumination, glossy: yes

Storage
Choice 1 : 250Gb sata 7200RPM Hard Disk
Choice 2 : Samsung SSD 470 Series 128GB currently installed

Soundcard
Realtek HD Audio

Connections
2 USB 2.0, 1 USB 3.0 / 3.1 Gen1, 1 VGA, 1 HDMI, 1 Kensington Lock, Audio Connections: mic in, audio out, Card Reader: 4in1 (SD, MMC, MS, XD)

Networking
Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller (10/100/1000MBit), Realtek RTL8191SE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC (b/g/n), This model has BLUETOOTH

Size
height x width x depth (in mm): 32,6 x 297 x 190 ( = 1.26 x 11.69 x 7.48 in)

Battery
No

Operating System currently installed
1. Microsoft Windows 10 pro OS 64 Bit /
2. REMIXOS BETA 32BIT (aka Android X86)/
3. Peppermint 7 64 bit (UBUNTU Linux based OS)

Camera
Webcam: HD (720p @ 30fps), integrated Mic

Additional features (down load provided by msi website)
MSI S-Bar, MSI BurnRecovery, MSI Battery Calibration, MSI EasyFace access control, MSI EasyViewer, MSI i-Charger.

Weight
1.425 kg ( = 50.27 oz / 3.14 pounds), Power Supply: 139 g ( = 4.9 oz / 0.31 pounds)

Reviews : http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-MSI-Wi...ok.67195.0.html

---

Conditions: Just battery is not holding charges so I removed the batteries from the battery casing. I was planning to put new batteries into the casing but then these days, New battery is just around RM1xx

Reason for sale: Extra laptop used for travelling but now I don't travel much anymore. But I still do a lot of reading so a tablet would help better I think. If no exchange then I will probably just keep this laptop. It is light, easy to handle (takes everything I 'throw' into it) and very portable.

Advantages of Netbook :

* Hard disk is not soldered or fixed. Therefore, can add a larger capacity or lower capacity storage as needed
* Ram is not soldered or fixed.
* Not tied to just Windows OS or Android OS. Can install both Windows and Android. Can even install Linux OS
* Can remove battery when using with power supply so the battery will not be in charging state all the time.
* Usually more USB ports
* Main method of navigation is by using mouse which is in fact a great invention.

Advantages of Tablets :

* Convenient for reading ebooks/webpages because no need physical keyboard that will require a table or lap.
* Battery standby time is usually better because of deep sleep power management
* Main method of navigation is by using the Touch screen

wtt wts HUAWEI ASCEND MATE PHABLET (6.1 ins)

I have a HUAWEI ASCEND MATE PHABLET (6.1 ins screen with impressive 4050mAh battery)

I would like to exchange it for a Tablet with bigger screen (Android or Windows Tablet) because I will be taking on an intensive writing project. If it is not because of the project, I would love to keep the HUAWEI ASCEND MATE because 6 .1 inch screen is a sweet spot for a tablet-like phone to me.

Some, of course may prefer screens that is bigger than 6.1 ins for a phablet but to me anything bigger than 6.1 ins will not appear so natural when you have to bring it to your ears to answer a phone call. And for some, 6.1 ins is too big. But for me, the 6.1 size is the best of both world and i will not surprised if 6 inch becomes a popular size for tablet-like phones. eg iphone6

Would love to exchange for a large screen Tablet like the Nexus 9 but it is a bit too expensive for me.

Therefore, for Android tablet, I am looking for an alternative good, light weight 7.9 inch to 10 inch Android Tablet with good battery life. If Windows tablet, .... good battery life ...

Call / SMS : Zero-One-Nine - 2599173

To exchange, Can Meet in Cheras / KL / Other Location?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pictures of my Huawei Ascend Mate (later) :

I gave away my earphone set so i only have phone and charger. My Original casing has worn off so WI only have soft silicon back protective cover.

I also have a Nexus 7 to exchange (One has to go. Either Huawei or Nexus)

https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=ST&f=273&t=3412744

Thanks!

[WTS]CLOSED

Hi Lowyat forumers,

I have decided to offer Locksmith emergency services at reasonable price. So call me if you find yourself in need of my service.

My services (more services or products might be added later)

- Opening Locks (Front door / Room doors / Drawers)

- Removal and installation of locks

That's it!

Please note : At the moment I am not selling any locks so for installations, please buy your own locks. If there is a demand I will order some of the common ones from the Locksmith supplies shop in future.

Edit : I am also not handling auto vehicles (cars, bike, lorry) locks at the moment.

I am doing this just to pass my time since I have the time. Might as well help someone who needs such emergency service and at the same time earn a little.

The number to call : 019-2599173

(If not emergency, please don't call me. If you call me at night I might charge you a little bit higher.)

Special notes:

If possible ... , it will help a lot if you can take snapshots of the locks you are having problem with and send the pictures to me by email or MMS.

In that way, i will be able to prepare the right tools to solve the problem. Although MOST locks can be unlocked by using the non destructive methods, there are some locks that are either not easy to open or not worth spending the money to get them opened by using the non destructive methods.

If you want to use a destructive method to open a lock, it helps if you know the weak points of the lock in question. If you try to use sheer force without focusing on the weak points of the lock, you might cause expensive damages to the door / drawer that the lock is installed on.

There is also a risk of damaging the internal mechanism of the lock causing it to become so badly jammed that should you change your mind and decide to get a professional to open it, the chances of using the non-destructive method to get it opened is slim.

Hi,

Anyone knows where I can buy a - "ZIF to Compact Flash memory card Adapter" - in Malaysia? I have a netbook - Astone (cloudbook). It uses 1.8" zif type microdrive similar to the ones used in Ipods. I am thinking of taking out the Microdrive and putting in a COMPACT FLASH.

Thanks!
