Offer Letter then Background Check?

Hey all,

I recently got an offer letter that I have been waiting for, which is amazing. Then there’s a clause that says that offer letter is only binding once they have done all the background check. I have technically accepted the offer letter, but I never tender yet at my current job. Because while I feel that there should be nothing to worry about, as I do not have criminal records, I want to be sure and safe before I tender my current job. They are using outsource/overseas company to do the checking. What im afraid of is that the HR is not responsive and wtv that might cost me a job? I might also have changed some of the work duration, because i forgot about it, it has been more than 5 years those past jobs, so when I filled it I didn’t think too much about it.

I know the other new job, they also want me to start faster, but they don’t have the buyout policy. I’m thinking to buy out myself at one month if the offer letter is finally binding, or am I making a big financial blunder? To me, I consider it as an investment for my future.

What should I do?
