Failure rate of PC parts?

What kind of failure rates do you get with current PC parts?

This year I got a shop to assemble a new desktop. My parts list:

CPU : AMD Ryzen 5 3600 ( 6 Core / 12 Thread )
Cooler : DEEPCOOL GAMMAXX 400 Pro Air
Mobo : GIGABYTE B550 AORUS Elite
RAM : PNY XLR8 16GB Kit (2x8GB) DDR4 3600Mhz
SSD : XPG SX8100 512GB NVMe PCIe Gen3 M.2 SSD
GPU : AORUS Master RTX 3060 Ti
PSU : FSP Hydro PTM Pro 750W 80+ Platinum
CASE : ZALMAN S5 ATX TG CASE BLACK

After using for a few weeks things became unstable. Freezing, auto shutdown, hang during bootup.

I brought it back to shop for troubleshooting and was told GPU faulty. It was sent to Taiwan for warranty repair and the whole process took over 3 months.

Then when the GPU came back and I tested, was unable to get signal to monitor.

Took it back to the shop and was told now the mobo is faulty.

All in all due to repair time and lockdowns my PC has been in limbo for 6 months.

I have been using PCs all my life and never encounter such high failure rate.

Anyone else having similar experience?

How do I?

Hi I have a scenario and wondering if it is possible.

I have several broadband modems and providers. Is it possible for me to attach multiple broadband modems / handsets to my computer and use specific software only on certain modems / handsets? For example I want IE to only use modem A connection, FTP app to only use handset B connection, Firefox to only use modem C connection, utorrent to use handset D connection.

Is this possible?

Broadband performance & quality

Hello Tech Gurus,

What do you use to test the performance of your broadband service?

What measurements do you look for?

I'm guessing speedtest.net and pingtest.net are popular on the forum. Are there any alternatives or applications that do the same to test bandwidth, latency, packet loss, jitter etc?

Does anyone know any app to test real broadband usage like streaming video from Youtube or photo upload to Facebook? Something like Futuremark tests but meant for benchmarking your broadband provider?

Appreciate any advice
