I am supposed to work 40 hours a week . On Thursdays I only work form 9am to 1pm.
If I apply for annual leave on a Thursday, is it considered a half day leave or one day leave.

transfer data credit

I have a XOX account and my wife's phone is under my subline. Can I transfer credit from my Data (season pass) to her phone.
If so, how do I go about it.

kit lens query

I noticed that shashinski has 2 prices for the same canon lens but the kit lens version is cheaper.
Is there any difference in the lens?

Giant used to sell it but now they only stock Gardenia brand.

My local sundry shop says the suppliers have not been around even before Chinese New Year.

Ban Full Face Helmets?

I was a victim of snatch thieves this morning as I was crossing the road.
Two guys on a high powered motorbike snatched a portable hard disk from my hands.
They must have thought I was carrying a wallet or handphone.

They were both clad in black and wearing full-face helmets so it was impossible to see their features.
Some people sitting at tables having breakfast saw the incident but it happened so fast nobody saw the licence number or other details.

I understand full face helmets are useful but criminals are making use of it to hide their faces.
So I feel they should be banned .

Pension Payment

My monthly pension is paid to HSBC. However, this bank is far from my house and parking is impossible.
Can anyone please tell me how to go about changing the bank to Maybank which has a branch near my house.

Cheque Banking In

I have received a cheque and my name was spelled wrongly by only one alphabet..an E instead of an O.
Can I still bank this cheque into my account.

Trying to get the person to reissue a cheque is a big problem.

Also if a friend who he has no savings or current account here
asks me to bank in his cheque into my account, is this possible since the crossed cheque is in his name.

Maybank PM1 Account

for years I have been using Maybank PM1 account. Suddenly they impose a RM5 monthly fee.

2 questions.. can they unilaterally impose a charge without Bank Negara's approval?

Can I close my account by withdrawing all and just leaving RM1.00 in the account. This is because I opened the account when I was in Kl and have been transferred to a different state and it is inconvenient to go back to KL to close the account.

Anti-theft measure

Today's newspaper (Star) said anti - theft measure enabled the police to recover a PDA phone.
Anyone know what this is.

The time I lost my treo 650 I only could cancel my digi card and get a replacement.
I asked Digi and they told me they could not help me trace the phone because the thief did not use my sim card to phone.

while sorting out my dividend receipts I found a few for Dec 2006 which I have not reported in last years filing.
Do I need to report this and is it possible to do this via e-filing.

RM2 note

Have not seen the RM2 note around for some time. Is it still legal tender or has it been withdrawn because of too many forgeries floating around like our $1 coin?
