using sim broadband like yoodo in sim router

Hi all, I never used a sim broadband and sim router before. (besides my maxis sim, which has data in it)
I want to know how the data count as hotspot. Hope someone want can light me up.

Lets say if I get yoodo 30gb will have 3gb hotspot and put the sim in the router.
-will the data count as hotspot when connect using wifi?
-will the data count as hotspot when connect using LAN cable?
-or both also count as hotspot?

I have been not using internet like 2years now, just researching if I should get sim based broadband in the future
