Western Digital Cloud board replacement

Hi Sifu2,

My western digital cloud system (My Cloud Home 2TB) failed after a lightning strike, which also destroyed the TV, sound system etc.
I have brought the Cloud system to Lowyat and had a check. The harddisk is still in healthy condition. However, the files have to be recovered by file recovery software, because the Cloud system is password protected.
Any expert here able to repair and make the system good again? the technician in lowyat shop told me that even if i replace the board, the original BIOS needs to be fit into the new board, so that the password protection is transferred to the new board too..

hope to get some expert advise/ recommendation.

regards,
TES
