One week ago, I dm-ed a girl on Insta to get to know her. I really felt a genuine connection from the moment i looked at her. We both have the same hobbies and interests etc. Our chat was not one sided, both parties had genuine interest in knowing each other. We even " loved " each other messages, you know with the recent emoji update on messages.

On 2nd day of chatting, i asked her out on a date and we agreed to meet at a local cafe for lunch few days later. It was just last Sunday ( 14th AUG ) and we HIT IT OFF ! we had great talk, get to know each other vibes. I sent her back at the end of the date, we exchanged number and she told me she had a great time and would love to meet me again. We have decided to meet on THU ( tomorrow at this point of writing ).

Yesterday, and i thought, this is it ! I have finally met someone that i genuinely really like and i could feel the same coming from her as well, she told me about her day and sent me her lunch/dinner pics along etc. We were doing great until afternoon. Her replies were getting stale, and didn't seem eager to reply me in how she normally does. So i let it be and didn't think too much about it, " maybe she was tired from work is all."

This afternoon, she sent me a message and told me she's already seeing someone and doesn't want to meet with me anymore. I don't know how to describe this void I feel. I'm not sure if I even felt anything. I replied her message with cheerful intention and hoped to stay as friends, guess what ? she doesn't even want to see me / be my friend.

I just couldn't figure out what went wrong or what did I do wrong ? I wished her all the best. I didn't get angry nor demean her. Just wished her all the best.
