Put aside the technicality of car may not have insurance cover during the transfer period.

Does JPJ require new owner to have insurance before transfer takes effect?

Or, transfer can happen first before buying insurance?

I noticed online portal of insurance companies are not offering all policies or sometimes not offering anything at all for motorcar or motorcycle insurance, but available via their agent.

This wasn't the case last year.

Had insurance company narrowed their direct offering online in order to divert sales to their agents?

Surely feeling it's happening this year.

I am looking for YTZ6V and YTZ10.

Searching online returned wide gap in pricing despite what appears to be same brand/model.

Example YTZ6V can range from RM50 to RM120 for same brand/model.

YTZ10 can cost more than my car battery.

Any idea why the price gap and where can I reliably source these batteries?

Am looking at walk through scooter type of motorcycle for use at kampung.

Purpose is go around kampung to kampung, rare occasion into kebun when invited by friends. Short distance max distance 60km per trip but mostly 20km top.

Storage space important criteria.

Bike will be parked most of the time, counting by months and not week.

Normal scooter like Ego Gear or Vario, most likely their battery will be weak after parking there for months.

That's why considering ebike.

Anyone had experience to share? From perspective of maintenance and what to look out for.

I am looking at Yadea for it's practical design. Max speed 60kmh does not concern me.

Lately a lot of 5" to 7" Android head unit appearing for motorcycle, support Apple Carplay and Android Auto wirelessly.

I like the idea but I have no idea how it's connected between your phone and your helmet comm unit.

Anyone had installed this?

My question basically is, where does your helmet comm unit connected to? Your phone or the Android head unit?

How do you remove sticky dash mount for phone?

Bought a dashmount, it has those goo like sticky stuff but not double sided tape.

Mounted it on dash. Wanted to remove it but seems quite stuck.

Any suggestion on how to remove that?

Diesel generator 10kva

I am looking for a 10kva diesel generator preferably runs low RPM engine (below 2000rpm), will need to run 12 hours everyday to power a small farm. Calculated power requirement is 4.2kw.

Been struggling to find shops / dealers to discuss this cos most of them are just traders.

Need advice on where / what to look at.

Been using eSim for few years. Don't really see it's advantages much other than able to order and activate an eSIM from overseas.

Want to move eSIM to another phone like swapping around your physical SIM cards? Most telco charges you for doing so except only very few that made it free.

Really can't think of much more benefit of eSIM...

Just want to see if anyone here have better use of eSIM.

How to fix car windscreen that became rough?

My 20 years old car windscreen became rough, causing wiper to jump.

Polishing, waxing only fixed it temporarily.

Other than changing the windscreen, is there a way to fix this?

Ok, maybe I slowpork just realized myTNB portal has this very nice dashboard for energy use.

1hp Daikin (York) inverter a/c set at 22c initially runs at RM0.100/hour to cool down the room, taper off to RM0.068/hour as night goes by.

The chart goes by 30 mins block.
They even provide an estimated bill for the month. Nice!

My fridge runs at RM0.025/hour.. hmm.. need to set the temperature control of the fridge to increase temperature..
Other usage like water pump, fans, lighting, boiling water etc is assumed negligible at this point, as it's difficult to isolate and itemize usage of those items.

3hp Panasonic inverter a/c set at 26c initially run at RM0.30/hour to cool down the entire apartment. Taper off to RM0.20/hour as it goes on. I turned it off after 2 hours of use.

Front load 12kg washing machine run for 20 mins uses RM0.02.

Saw the Motul 7100 thread asking where to buy.
I had also some questions on lube.
Starting a new thread hope to consolidate all lube discussions into one thread.

Let me start my questions: Scooter Lube aka. JASO MB spec.

As far as I read, have not ask ChatGPT yet.. 🤪

Normal bike, lube need to lubricate both engine and wet clutch.
Scooter have dry clutch, lube only need to lube the engine. Final gear has different lube. Just like car.

Some lube company clearly mention the above, and says it's ok to use car lube in scooter with dry clutch as long as viscosity matches.

Bike manual for obvious reasons will NOT mention car lube is ok for scooter, and of course, promotionally, must use bike's brand of lube.

So the question:
If you are using a scooter, do you dare to use car lube in scooter if viscosity matches?

Me, I will do it.

Just found out my DDNS no longer work.
Router message says the IP assigned to me is not public IP.

I can't find any literatures from Time mentioning this.
Only know TMNet stop this for their 100mbps users since some time back.

Anyone know what's the situation with Times?

Quite a number of shops that lists their items at online platforms like shop and laz have much lower prices than their physical shops.

Take an example:
Shop label price RM100
Online price RM70

You go to their shop look feel the item, you ask for discount, they say ok lah give you RM90.
When you ask about their online price RM70, some shop then say ah ok give you RM70, some say RM80 'cos you have to pay shipping charge anyway.

Only a handful shop will check against their online price and quote you the same price in shop.

I am just curious about what are they thinking / strategizing with such approach?
