Or you feel your car is old and looking to buy a new one and continue to pay loan?

I now very itchy to trade in my shitbox and buy a new one but it is going to cost at least 1000 per month for additional 5 years. 1k is although is not a big deal for me but it can do a lot of things actually.

What kind of income should I have to consider a 80k car?

Assuming 20k downpayment from selling old car, loan tenure max is 5 years.

I read a rule car price must not over my annual income. Is that gross or net income?

I always see people say, "you cant afford a car if need a 9 years loan".

What if, I have enough cash to buy the car with full cash and still have my emergency fund untouched.

Is it wiser to take the 5 years loan or 9 years loan? Wont consider to use full cash because its in my stocks and I believe in my stocks and I want to let it compound.

In a 9 years loan, the monthly commitment is low, I have better monthly cashflow and can use it for investment (4-6%). car loan interest is only 3%. I know effective rate is actually higher but I dont see how it will affect me.

Second question: Regarding downpayment. (low DP or high DP)
Initially I want to put more downpayment and serve a lower monthly loan repayment, but after some calculation. I realize that if I keep those downpayment money in FD/KDI (3.5%) and let it compound, I will have more money at the end because car loan interest is only 3%.

Upgrading from a 8 years Myvi basic spec

budget below 80k.
DP will put 35k after selling existing car

After filtering many cars, from secondhand to new car, I think getting a new one would be better because secondhand car is quite expensive, many cars in the 70-80k range (3 years +) still selling like 65-70k. Not worth in my opinion

So now I am deciding between
City hatchback basic spec
Or Ativa full spec

City hatchback
Pros
1. Looks very yao yeng
2. Branding is good
3. Reliability and overall performance

Cons
1. Expensive, have to get basic spec
2. No advance tech like ACC etc

Ativa
Pros
1. Tinggi SUV
2. Cheap
3. Spec and technology is gooding

Cons
1. Heard 3 cyl engine shake a lot when old
2. Perodua branding is still budget line compare to Honda

Any other suggestions is welcome. Yaris E spec good ah?

Even you know you are quite rich, got 5 years of salary invested but driving a very old lousy national car.

Sometimes I feel malu to go out also. But idk is it good or bad to be cheap like this. On 1 hand I feel good because I'm very cash rich, on the other hand i feel bad seeing everyone driving good car. A dilemma betul.

Condo maintenance fee is fucking high nowadays

Most places I see is charging 300+ monthly for condo maintenance fee. Hello rm300 I can pay half a room already. It's like money down the drain.

Some more got close to 1000 units. So 300k per month for maintenance? Hired 10 Bangla security for 20k, spend maybe 20k for actual maintenance then the remaining all masuk pocket.

It's too much and I think government should regulate it. Cannot profit from maintenance fee and just charge for actual maintenance need.

Is anyone here don't play social media at all?
