2011 Camry XV40 Running Cost

The XV40 gen of the Camry looks like a very good deal on the used market. I know parts and labor is pretty straight forward and not expensive. However I've heard the fuel consumption is crazy high, 70 litre full tank can barely make it 500km? Can any other owners shed some light on day-to-day running cost? Looking to get it as a weekend/ long distance use car.

Forester Vs Tucson

Hi all. I'm considering getting a mid-sized used SUV that's less than 10yo. Within my budget, I've narrowed it down to 2017/18 Subaru Forester or 2017/18 Hyundai Tucson.

I was hoping to get some insights from owners, past and present, on the reliability, common issues and cost of maintenance/replacement parts for these 2 vehicles.

Some pros and cons;
Subaru:
Pros:-
-Comfortable n spacious
-Great off-road potential
-High mounted air intake (I live in flood prone area, so it's important)
-best CVT in the market

Cons:-
-outdated interior n infotainment
-4wd n boxer aren't the easiest to maintain (need to go specialist)
-its a CVT

Hyundai:
Pros:-
-looks great
-modern interior and spacious
-more normal layout, so probably cheaper to maintain??

Cons:-
-FWD n low mounted air intake (relatively)
-parts are (relatively) expensive to get
-older version of the 6speed can have issues?

Appreciate your discussion and corrections on any of my assumptions. I'm open to other suggestions and sedans as well (as long as less than 10yo and below 50k).

Best oil brand for 10w40

Hi all, been using R25v2 for 2 years now. Generally service every 6mths, 2-3k km max running. I've been using LiquiMoly Street Race 10w40 fully synthetic for 1.5years, and am looking to try Motul. Is the Htech or 7100 any good? Anyone here have used both and can tell the difference?

10w40 vs 15w50 for Yamaha R25

Just got my R25, and from my research most people use 10W40 engine oil. However, the showroom I bought it from said that this was recommended for daily short distance rides. For long distance riding 15W50 was recommended. Is this true? From your experience is 10W40 okay for long distance?

Both oil types are acceptable according to the owners manual.

Tips on buying used R25

Hi all,

Just got my riding license and I have my eyes sight on getting an R25 as my first bike. I've seen many forums saying to get used bike as your first bike (cuz 100% will end up falling).

Although budget isn't an issue to get a new one, I'm looking for more value in a used V1 R25 (2017-2018), and I don't intend to buy any bikes (now or future) with loan cuz interest way too high. I intend to use it daily and for more spirited riding on the weekends, and will probably change to bigger cc within 2-3 yrs. Any tips on what I should look for when getting a used V1 R25? Or should I just go ahead with a new one?

Please senpais, help a squid out.
