WTA:Property size in SPA differs from strata title

I recently bought a sub sale ondo which was still under Master title. The developer just issued the strata title. However, the property size in the SPA is smaller compared to the size stated in the strata title. Therefore, I am requested by the developer to pay the difference of the property size to them which sums up to be a pretty big amount. It's clearly the mistake of the developer last time that they sold the property at a smaller size to the first buyer.

Have anyone here encountered such a case before? Why should I be paying for some mistake made by the developer many many years back?
