Hi all, I (33 yr old) need some advice on whether to go to Sg or Aus for better work opportunities..

Aus: I have a PR but has just expired (last entry 2 years ago), stayed in Aus for a short while but Covid has jeopardized everything, planning to apply for RRV hopefully can get 1 year extension (no guarantee)...

Sg: No PR, if go there work need apply permit (no guarantee), if want apply for PR seems to be lottery because not sure if can get by the time I apply..

Knowing job market is rough globally, which one is more feasible? Thanks!

Most underrated town in Malaysia?

When u balik kampung or a road trip, what is the underrated off-highway town that you think its a hidden gem? whether people wise or culturally or food wise or scenery?

My example would be Gurun, Kedah that unless you want to hike Gunung Jerai, you wouldn't really pass through here. But the townhouses are like a time capsule from 1960s and very scenic against the mountain in the background.
There is also food you can't really find anywhere else.
Example is noodle below called In.

Another is Yong Peng in Johor as stopover on the way to JB, should try its Sup Kambing Gear Box.

Have heard from a Msian friend working in Singapore who is so overworked (maybe because of workplace practice) until both physical and mental health is severely affected. The friend is in construction industry.
I know one case =/= everyone but

Went to London and Birmingham, stayed in each place long enough to explore most of the areas

Everything seems normal, street is still quite clean except at touristy area where it could be as dirty as Pudu, tube/train runs super on time..
Didn't see many homeless people ..maybe didnt venture far enough...
Also could get like 2~3 pound sandwich or salad in Tesco since on tight travel budget (due to crappy ringgit), portion big enough to feel full for most of the day..
