Regarding salary increment

I joined the company in 2023 April, usually will my salary be adjusted on Jan 2024? Or i have to wait until April 2024 for my adjustment? What is the usual practise?

Do i actually need ps plus for diablo 4

Just checking do i need ps plus to play diablo 4? Been checking for answer but seems getting different answer. Will i be able to enjoy the gameplay like diablo 3 without the ps plus at all?

Is my boss demotivating

Hello all. I am with this company less than a year. It is a sales company, and i am working as product management/sales/marketing. My boss is a highly successful sales person (at least from the looks of it), and seems like he has his own expectation.

This boss seems to prefer communicate through email, and very curt or direct in his email. Like ‘you knowledge is not up to standard based on your role’, and he give out critics very frequently. Even in email when he is in cc, anything that doesnt match to his expectations, he will msg us directly to critic/point out his thoughts. It is sometimes to an extend i find it micromanaging. And he never gives acknowledgment when it is due. Basically, i find him full of negativity? Am i the problem here expecting my boss to be at least slight motivating instead of keep criticising?

How to handle gossiping colleagues

I just joined this company few months back. I used to enjoy lunch at my previous company where we talk abt non work stuff. But i dreaded going for lunch with my new colleagues here. Reason being they like to gossip all the bad things on their bosses etc, which in some way negatively impact my thoughts. Few times i rejected to join them for lunch but for some odd reason, they seem to find it weird and keep pestering me to join. In anyway, i do understand if not joining them for lunch too frequent, this will turn me into outcast too in the department, which i try to avoid.

How to deal with this situation?

Confuse on career

Hi all,

Long story short, i used to work in sales related position and i hated the stress..and for the past 2 years i was actively looking for more technical role. Finally i accepted a role and made the switch. My initial goal is to learn the skillsets as i am from different field previously.

In new company, alot of them are the so called guru or expert as they have been in this field since fresh grad.. while i am considered young horn here, and i can sense i am kinda look down by some peers due to my different background. So i have to face some ego minded individuals daily.

after working for few months now, i wonder if this is the field that i really like. Part of me still want to learn this skill as it will bring me to better prospect, but part of me thinks sales related position are more rewarding in term of monetary aspect (eg bonus etc) based in the field i am at.

Any advise ? Bit confuse soul here.
