tech companies used to have their own data center, say it employs 5 ppl

standard chartered have their own data center, hires 5 ppl
citibank hires 5 ppl for their own data center

now those big big data center consolidates the data center, these banks no longer need their own data center, they dont need 15 ppl, they hire 8 ppl now in total since its outsourced to the big data center.

15- 8 = 7 jobs lost

consolidation by big corporations are killing jobs, and yet we cant do anything about it because big corporations are more effecient due to economies of scale

software job increasing gets taken over by AI. sure on the top end some will be needed, but no longer the same amount as before.

factory is also highly automated now, the factories are very much dark factories.

the only reason why automation havent hit small countries like ours is because of lack of scale does not justifiy the use of machines, which have high upfront costs. For big countries, their market is big, so sekali they order a lot from factories, so factories have the reason to spend a lot of money on machines.... if malaysia, hire bangla je... cheaper

but then this creates a problem where malaysian value added cannot compete with china's value added. because human vs machine, it will always end with machine wins.

There is a lot of complaint about how china's open source model is undermining US AI model's business plan, since China's models are free.

but if u look at it, its a self inflicted problem

1) US restrict china's compute.
2) China has not enough compute for themselves, so they decided to use whatever they have only on training
3) they dont have enough for inference, so they give away their models for free so others can run inference for them
4) US model's business plan kena disrupted

its a futsal tournament

but organizer didnt provide referee

every team has to provide 1 referee for games in another group

so i kena referee a game

after game i kena shout at by the players aggressive, really mau gaduh feel
