            <title>Which path would you choose?</title>

            <description>Hi Guys,&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Am new to this forum and wishes to share my experience and situation I am facing now and if you were in my shoes, which would be your options?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;Background&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am 37 YO working in a MNC FI for the past 12 years and recently made redundant as my role was moved out of country.&lt;br /&gt;I was given options to either a) Internal transfer within the company or b) take severance package&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Have attended few internal interviews mainly looking at higher level (promotion) as I have been stayed for the same rank for more than 2 years, but nothing is final yet. Not interested in lateral movement.&lt;br /&gt;Also, have applied couple of external ones and attended few interviews but have not heard anything back. &lt;br /&gt;Understand the current market situation is quite bad / timing since it&amp;#39;s still early of the year.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As my timeline drawing near, though the package is attractive (12 months+ payout), would you choose to secure internal movement or take the package?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Bear in mind, I have family and children and other commitments. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Thanks &lt;br /&gt;</description>
