Now we are the 6th largest.

From top half of ASEAN economies we are now belonging to the bottom half.

Wearing Baju Kurung for CNY

Normally CNY is the time when we will see many amoi in traditional Chinese clothes like cheongsam.

Monkey torturer among us

So last year, there was a BBC documentary in June 2023 which exposed the existence of monkey torture rings. These groups, which mainly operated through apps such as Telegram, got off on watching monkeys (especially baby monkeys) being tortured. These people mainly coming from first world countries such as US. To satisfy their sadistic fetish, they would hired people from third world countries to torture monkeys and recorded it in videos. If you had finished reading the article above, you would know that the people they hired to do their bidding were mainly from Indonesia.

But let me tell you something, there was (at least) a Malaysian involved too.

In January 2023, local animal welfare activists made a police report after being tipped off about the identity of a monkey torture video producer which was from Malaysia. The police subsequently questioned the man and sent the case to Attorney General Chamber (AGC) for further action. However, the AGC decided not to press charge. This enraged the activists which decided to file a judicial review to compel the AGC to charge the torturer. Link:
