Hi all,

Found this kopitiam more active users so decided to post here.

Am a software engineer with 2 years plus experience and company want to transfer me to wellington.
Tentatively is by this end of year but very possibly would pushback to next year jan or feb
Going to discuss the relocation package and benefits but I’ve never been there so need some advice.

How much do I need to survive there as a single?
Is living expenses high?
How much is the tax?
What’s the average pay for people like me?
How about insurance? If get sick how?

I’m going alone so kinda worry will be lonely there got like Malaysian club in nz? How to make friends there? I can only imagine my life being go office work, go home sleep and repeat. Typical IT nerd

Or is there anyone also planning to go nz for work? We can discuss together

Residensi 22 versus Vista Kiara in Mont Kiara

Hi sifu all, recently I've been researching on property investment. So there's this interesting phenomenon in mont kiara.
Residensi 22 and vista Kiara are basically side by side. But 22 price is around 800 to 950 psf and vista is 350 to 500 psf.
Residensi 22 is completed in 2017 and vista is completed in 1997. Both freehold. Vista main entrance is that road linking to Segambut but got back door to walk to arcoris. 22 got car entrance for front and back. Both are serious side by side. What makes them so different in selling price? Checking from Google review for vista, seem like pretty okay maintained for a 20 years condo.
If own stay I'd go for vista since same address but cheaper. But which one would you choose in term of investing? Vista not laku to rent to expats? Will the price appreciate more?

As title, how do you make new friends while being in a relationship and keeping the boundaries so that your partner is not hurt.
Not looking to cheat but really make some real connections with people from other industries.
I don't want my whole world to be just my partner.

Now covid, can't really attend event or what. So online is the way to go.

Is there any app or platform that can suggest?
