port out then offered discount

guys, i ported out of maxis some time ago, while pending for porting out approval, maxis called and offered 50% discount for my current plan.
I declined as I wanted to try out new telco and experience others, after staying with Maxis since 2002.

Now i have decided Maxis is more suitable for me, i want to port in back.

I am wondering, any ways i can still get the 50% discount? I will definitely port back in immediately if can get the 50% discount.. or whatever discount/promo they offer me... but if no incentive, then I slowly wait la, although the intention is there, just matter of time.
guys, i've been seeing many cars on the road especially luxury cars such as alphard (especially), SUV, or conti cars... actually even perodua alza also... their front windscreen and front passenger/driver tint is so dark and i strongly believe its VLT is > 80% or some even 90% !!!

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

isn't this illegal? as JPJ approve tint for front windscreen is only 70% VLT and front driver 50% VLT.

anyone here has dark tint entire car? can share whether u guys obtained permission from JPJ or just take the risk if kena tahan masuk puspakom inspection and remove tint?

thank you so much

Home CCTV/IP-CAM recommendation

firstly, sorry admin if i posted wrong section because i couldnt find any surveillance camera zone, if there is, please move this over ya.

I am renovating my new house and would like to get some opinion which type of camera you guys/commonly installed at your home/office?

My contractor gave me 2 options, using TP-link wifi camera like C200 or Hikvision camera. He said 1 is wifi, 1 is use network cable. Actually he's not really a CCTV pro, but he help me do my wiring/electrical so he also help me pasang the camera, i have to buy my own camera. I'll be installing inside the house, staircase area, kitchen, living hall, and also perimeter outside.

Below are my opinions, please correct me if i'm wrong.
TP-Link C200
- easy to use, can use TAPO app view my camera anytime over internet on my android app
- but downside is, i'm concerned about the privacy, will the video footages be stored/streamed over public cloud storage/site such as AWS/Alicloud, etc.
- if over internet/wifi, will any IT expert able to watch my video footages by tapping to RTSP/Onvif from these c200 camera?
- C200 is easy to use and simple, suitable for residential usage. got PTZ summore, kinda like the app interface, got recording onto sdcard, if needed can stream onvif to NVR

Hikvision (i havent decide the model yet, but a lot choices; shopee so many package rm1-1.5k with NVR, 8 channel dome/bullet, etc. )
- a more proper surveillance system for home security
- closed network, via RJ45/POE so outsider hard to tamper/access footage unless he hack my router..
- the quality of the camera should be better? outdoor can choose bullet, indoor use dome..but no PTZ lo..
- i havent seen the nvr before, but i see youtube vids, the nvr quite user friendly, and got hikconnect mobile app can also view my cctv footages on the app? at least i am sure the videos are played directly from the camera to my mobile app, instead of tapo app (tplink) which i suspect will have video streamed to their public cloud site, becaues they got this subscription AI/video analytics thingy.. where the process the vids on internet.

anyway i havent make any decision yet, since i'm not expert, maybe biased too, hope to hear from you guys.

many thanks !

property developer offer to buy back my unit

Hi, i bought a developer unit from the developer, the house is slightly below 2mil.
went through hell for the defect, the developer appointed contractor to undertake all the defect issues in the taman.
after spent 4-5 mths and nearing the end of defect rectification, found a big issue...

discovered water ponding at the underground drain at my kitchen area, apparently the drainage at my kitchen area is too deep, deeper than the front drainage which supposedly the water flow from kitchen to the front... but because behind is lower than the front, to fix this will need to redo the piping, gonna dig up entire living hall area all the way to the back kitchen area.

the developer also have no idea how to solve this, and has offered to buyback my unit.

i'm wondering what course of action i can take?
1. ask for higher buy back price to compensate all the sweat & effort for defect rectification?
2. ask them to compensate another unit of higher value? (i wonder how to settle the loan part)
3. or bring this to court? i guess lawyer fee will be costly, and what are the chances of winning this case? what is the expected return i can get?
4. ask them to fix it, means another 6 months delay to move in?

anyone heard of similar case and how did it go after that?

thanks !
