printed out blue, on screen is cyan..

How do you calibrate the color, printed out color to look similar with what we see on our photoshop screen ?

I am having trouble with 'blue' and 'orange' tones.

The color is see on my computer, photoshop CS4, the same image seen on the uploaded sites via mobile phone all look the same color tones.

But if i print it out with my printer, the color in differing tones.

An example, the color i wanted on screen is cyan blue, but printed out on my printer, its more bluish blue.
The same goes with orange hues too.

Long time ago, i used to print out sample colors so that picks out the correct color tones for print out.
But this would ends up in double work, double files... ( it could be one file color tones for web view, and another file color tones for print out purpose )

Is there a better way to get around this ?

Thanks for any input.

My printer is canon MG3100
How long does your anime's CDs last ?

i first bought my collections of originals Initial D's stage 1 cds about 9 - 10 years ago. In all, there were 13 dics.
Much later, i got the rest of the stage 2 ( japanese versions ) and the other titles as well.

Now, my problem is; this first sets of anime CDs qualities deteriorated. Looking at the disc surface, they are clear and shiny. But when i run them on my DVD players or even the computers, i can't finished viewing one piece of CD without interuption. At times, the second episode in the same CD are not possible to view to at all.

Anyone encounter these kind of problems ?

I wonder how do you all store your CDs ? These events make me kind of disappointed because i have been collecting and buying original's anime.
Now that these first batch are in such dired conditions, i am worried for those other titles which i purchased lately. will they end up the same condition as these ?

I just keep them at shelves at room temperature. Didn't expose them to high heats or too humid places.

anyone ever face this problem ?

i am doing some banner designs, file thats as big as 80" x 60" at 300 dpi and keep having the scratch disk not enough space.

so, i am wondering how does one overcomes this problem ?

What i am doing now is, changing the resolutions to 180dpi ( but this way i am compromising the sharpness of the images ) , thus the scratch disk message did not appear that often.

any suggestions on how do it goes about this thing ?

What resolutions do you usually use for those oversized banner ?
