im curios.

when people say dunt open email to prevent virus. i understand. but what if using outlook express.if u click (single click) on the new mail, it will automatically display/preview. so is the single click consider as the email opened and expose to virus attack?

i cant connect to the net via broadband but if i use dial-up...everything seems ok .

there will be two places that i need to use the laptop for internet connection, its the office and also at my home. do i hv to make two types of connection coz the setting for home use has to be "dial" .

the other thing is that sometimes it shows a connection but i cant access the internet explorer. anything that i should tweak?

hi guys....

i hv a weird problem

there is headphone with mic that i would like to use for chatting, but when i connected it to the pc....the mic seems not functioning. but when i test it to the other pc, no problemo.

wat i can detect :

- there is no mic input volume at the volume panel (playback)
- it happen when connected to a pc that has "Skype" installed

why winamp, not WMP classic?

1) a "light" distro ........that can run a "light" bittorrent

2) X gaming

3) can use yahoo messenger

thats all.... so any recommendations? .........b4 this a forumer suggest Ubuntu n FYI, im going thru Suse ........

i would like to know.........can we check dial up bills thru the net..... ?

and with the same username ......if we login two diffrent places (at diff time).......the multimedia bill will be post to two diff houses, right?

i hv myself a dlink router DSL 500G, status of the LED:

1) Status : Blinking
2) ADSL : fast blinking
3) Ethernet : Rapid blinking

let say A is going to B's house. A has a laptop with wifi card n B has Wifi at his house. So, B gives A the password to access the internet. ok, if A shut down his laptop for a while n he swithes on back a hour after that.......... does he hv to ask back for a new password from B?

sory, im a newbie in wifi and also dun hv xprience in it ....

hi guys.....

just install myself suse 9.1 dual boot......the prob:

the display flikers....than i restart .......login suse........than......blank + "sync out of range"

how to repair this?

now....i hv a new hdd....i would like to make it a dual boot...............

i hv three choices of distro......

1)fedora 2
2)suse 9.1
3)knoppix

im a newbie in linux..........generally people will say .......its all the same.....but can anyone suggest me a good distro out of those three.......or help me to choose which one is first......
