I am looking to volunteer in a street feeding or soup kitchen program around Klang Valley that is in need of manpower and donation be it money or foodstuff. Recommendations of Protein drink for women

A fitness kaki of mine has just started weightlifting at her gym and wanted to know if it was necessary to consume all those protein shakes or whey protein that her fellow male gym kakis were guzzling down after each workout.

Apparently those drinks will help her body to recover faster and repair all the muscle tears from the weight lifting and crossfit training that she is doing. She is currently consuming some protein rich meal replacement program, so she is not too sure if she can consume both.

Are those protein shakes necessary for women? If so, which brands are recommended that will not burn a huge hole in the pocket or worst...make her look like a man???

Filing a complaint against a Low Yat member

I would like to file a complain against a Low Yat member who was downright rude and cussing at me for no apparent reason.

He enquired from me to offer him my best prize for a camcorder. So I PM him my best price and guess what?! The next was I saw a message from him telling me to F*** off man!

What the....?! When I tell him politely that I was merely answering his request for the best price for the camcorder and ask him if he had a problem with that...he said "When I ass hole". And this ain't funny!Try saying that to the PM and u will most definitely be on your way to ISA!

Now I understand Low Yat attracts all sorts of ppl to its forum and all. But when you are negotiating to purchase something from someone, at least be polite. Learn some manners!!!Which school or religion never teaches anyone manners?Common courtesy counts even when you are online!

I recently saw a job ad in Jobstreet that fits EVERYTHING I was looking for in a company and after much thought I said why not just go for it and I did.The company is an international firm and from the website everything seems to be very professional.

After spending HOURS prepping up my CV and answering their 1001 questions on their website,I was satisfied and uploaded my CV. The following day during the late evening a guy called me from an overseas line and interviewed me straight from the phone.I was kinda taken aback cos I wasn't expecting a phone interview. Anyway,after I put down the phone, the following day I received a call from another guy. This time it's the guy who was supposed to be heading the new Malaysian office here. After speaking to him and all, he invited me for a group interview.

Of course I was overjoyed after realising that "I made it through".But for some reason,I couldn't sleep well tonight and I was thinking about the upcoming interview and suddenly out of nowhere I thought of Googling them and guess what I found...an anti blogsite of the company.

There were TONS of stuff that was mentioned about the company.Both bad and good.Mostly bad saying that it's not what it said it was,it expects employees to work long hours, spy on its employees, no proper HR,Finance and operations dept,uses pressure and force to get a sale, sleep around to get the sale, hardcore cold calling,etc.

Should I attend the interview and see for myself if it's true or not or should I just forget it? I've been a victim of a SCAM in the past and till today, after lodging 2 police reports and after filing numerous complaints I still haven't gotten my money back.

Counter Offer

I have served notice to my company saying I want to move on, cos tired of working and working with little prospects to increase my earnings. After several rounds of trying to get me to change my mind without success, they now counter offer me by saying they give me options to move to different depts, giving me a promotion and also the option to pursue a local MBA.

My main reason for resigning was I see little career prospects and as an executive in my current position I don't think I can earn much and be financially free like my friends who are already in the 5 figure range, while I am still in the 4 figure range. With the high cost of living I don't think I will ever make it if I remain where I am.

What should I do now? To accept or not? I have applied to a few places but still waiting for the response.
