Humming Noise when Accelerating / Pick Up

Sorry can ask all Sifus here something related to the driveshaft?

A week ago my ori factory-fitted driveshaft finally gave way after 6 yrs of daily usage (vibration at high speed). Went to P2 sc but was quoted Rm1.9k! (including workmanship). No choice but to went to outside mechanic for a cheaper pair costing oni a small fraction of the cost (Brand name: Gaido.) Comes with 1 year / 60k mileage warranty, whichever comes first. Proceed with this Gaido driveshaft and vibration issue resolved.

However now I have a new issue after installation of this new Gaido driveshaft but cant sure if it's really related to this new driveshaft or otherwise....

Problem: Humming noise (bunyi bergengung) during pick up time / accelerating. Once the auto gear went upshifted, the humming noise momentarily subsided /gone until I try to accelerate again.
At highest 4th gear (80kmph upwards, no more humming noise).
Another thing, If i let go of the accelerator pedal, the humming noise instantly gone.
ATF oil level is fine and still new, so does the ATF filter.

Could this be an indication of a poor quality driveshaft (with lack of soundproofing material) or something else that is faulty?

As far as I know, the humming noise could oni be two things: transmission (specifically the driveline & driveshaft) and wheel bearing but I'm pretty sure it wasn't the latter as faulty wheel bearing will emit constant humming at high speed not intermittently.

Driving wise nothing is compromised (Can turn stewring without noises, can accelerate without vibrations etc). It is just the humming noise that is annoying.

What does Sifus here think? Your input is very much aporeciated and thanking you in advance for your knowledge sharing.

Why Less Motorist Fueling Up at Caltex Station?

Hi Folks,

Might not be your typical kopitiam thread but I'm starting this thread in the hope of finding the answer to my long curiousity about this:-

As my topic suggest, why are less motorists could be seen fueling up at Caltex stations despite what I believe as them having the best fuel in the market in terms of their Ron95 & 97 variant (to exclude diesel fuel in this discussion as I'm driving a regular / non-diesel type).

Why I said so as them having the better fuel offering compare to other competitors are because I'm currently driving a vehicle with probably one of the most sensitive engine that are extremely vulnerable to performance deterioration caused by inferior fuel as well as deposit build up especially on city driving condition with regular stop start traffic.

In my humble and honest review, after repeatedly tested & experimenting with various fuel brands available in the peninsula / WM market (each brand refueled at least 10 full tanks before switching to another for better accuracy not mere placebo), I have confidently vouched that Caltex fuel (both Ron95 & 97), delivers the below criteria better than its alternative competitors:
+ The most powerful engine performance.
+ The smoothest pick-up & acceleration.
+ The most economical / fuel efficient in terms of km/l.
+ Least rough start-up when warming up in the morning.
+ Least rough idling when stuck in rush hour traffic.

In addition to that, prior to the emergence of Covid-19 in early 2020, I was in a group of convoy traveling to Thai for fun that lasted few days (by then I was already a continuous / consecutive loyal Caltex fuel for probably 1 year+ . During the trip we happened to stopby at one local workshop there offering "free engine dignostics / tune-up" (pardon me if the actual translation from the thai language isn't as accurate). Part of their free check-up include inserting a boroscope into the "intake valve" and looking at the "piston top / combustion chamber" (my apology if the spellings were wrong as I'm not a car person". Guess what? Among the members in the convoy, mine was given the highest score rating at 9.8 (cleanest at 10). I was shocked because I did not expect to be informed my engine was in such good shape. Needless to say, I keep using Caltex as my go-to fuel whenever the fuel indicator blinks each time without fail.

Well, back to question I have for you folks... Why if you observe carefully, Caltex almost always empty in comparison to other brands even if in the same row of street there are other brands lining up almost at a stone throw distance? I have the impression that people just avoiding Caltex like a plague which I don't understand especially when to me their fuel quality is like God-sent.

Sorry for this long post. My intention of this post is not to promote Caltex but set out on fact-findings to end my curiosity.
Take care folks and stay safe.

P/s: Apology in advance for my poor language and grammar.
