buying 2nd hand car

recently i had placed a deposit for an used car from a car dealer, he said he'll do the PUSPAKOM checking etc, he'll call when things are done. He also mentioned that if I need the car earlier, I just need to settle the insurance and remaining balance on next visit, and can drive the car home first, and they'll transfer the name later. How is that possible?

Need to find one old game

There's one old game, 3D RPG/Action, I can only remember the main character at the beginning is being corrupted by evil force, that the player is needed to race with time to complete the game, or the character will bu fully corrupted and will be game over. At times the player can use "super moves" to deal more damage to enemy, but it will make the corruption progress faster.

Can anyone know what is the name of the game?

New sound card

As by PCI slot was blocked by the fan of display card, so I can only use PCI-E slot

Speed drop 4mbps to 1

I was using 4Mbps streamyx, modem+router is TP-Link TD-W8960N
Previously was well, using streamyx speedometer can reach 4300 - 4700kbps, speedtest.net 4.2-4.6Mbps
In modem status it showed downstream 5120kbps , upstream 512, SNR 29dB, attenuation 8dB, attainable rate 11584 downstream

So out of sudden, 4 days a ago, the connection speed is jerky, running streamyx speedometer can observe the speed jerking down to around 1200kbps, speedtest.net 0.8-1.2, the modem status as above remains the same as previously

I'd restart modem few times to change IP, tried 118.100.x.x, 175.144.x.x, 118.101.x.x, 175.141.x.x, all still same jerkiness with the same modem status

I then called 100, lodge a report, so a TM technician come, use their device to test, runnning at 4700kbps, so said it's my modem faulty. So I went to buy another, TD-W8961N, installed, setup done, connected

The new modem status is same as above, but the speed still jerky....

Any idea what's going on? How to solve it? thanks a lot

Internal HDD removable?

I'm using XP SP3, previously on SATA HDD (Western Digital)
Recently added one IDE HDD from old PC, also western digital, and i put the jumper on the back of it to set it as slave, so that i boot from SATA HDD

Now in XP, there is a "safely removed hardware" option for my SATA HDD in notification area, how to solve this please?

Wanna buy a i3 540, with no video card, RAM 4GB.
Not playing 1080p as LCD TV only 720p, so is it enough for a 720p for running smoothly?

Unable to detect harddisk

My PC had been fine for 1-2 years until recently, whenever I power on my PC after shut down, system will be unable to detect my hard disk. I'll have to open up casing, disconnect the power cable and SATA cable at hard disk side and reconnect it then only it can be detected. Problem won't arise if i only restart the PC

Could anyone suggest solution? Thanks

I had two modem/router, Belkin F5D7632, and another Aztech DSL605EW
The Belkin is connected to Internet, while Aztech is at other place which wired connection to this is not possible.
How to setup a wireless bridge between Belkin and Aztech?

Wireless networking problem

I have two problems here:

Personal equipment
Modem/Router: Aztech DSL605EW
Firewall : windows XP built-in

Problem details
1) One of my pc connected to the above modem using wireless networking can be used to surf the internet, however it could not connect to other computers to access their shared folders.The other computers are connected to modem with LAN cables, and they can access the first pc shared folder I mentioned earlier. How to solve this problem?

2) I change the wireless networking WEP key to 128bits/26 hexadecimal digits key, however the wireless connection will change to "limited activity or connection".There's no such problem when using the default key.

Regarding ASIO output

I use TTplayer to play the ape files using SB Audigy 2 ASIO 24/96 output.
Everything seems fine, but the playback will be stopped if there is "sound from MSN eg, someone online, receive a message", then I need to play the file again to get the music back.

Anyone knows why this happen? Any solutions? Thanks!!

Hardware acceleration

I can play this file using media player classic, but I notice my CPU load is around 95-100% while playing.
Is there anyway to use hardware acceleration (my display card is ATI X1550 256MB) on media player classic?

Is there anyway to make my desktop icons larger without affecting icons in Start menu?
This method of enlarging icons : (Display properties --> Appearance --> Effects)
will enlarge my icons in Start menu at the same time, which I do not wish to...
So anyone know how to do that?
