Penang airport seems to be lacated very near to its hot spots and has very good road connections. It has potential to be an attractiin by it self. But should it be?

One issue is the traffic jam and the road going into and out of it is very narrow. Hopefully the new MRT line will help on this.

Hace you seen any airport that is an attraction by it self? I think the closest is Changi.

Penang can be said as the major manufacturing hub in Malaysia. Previously it was the silicon valley of Malaysia but now slowed down a lot.
I wonder Penang is where it is today due to its native population or due to its attractiveness to folks outside of Penang that choose Penang to work.

I have seen good students choose Intel and many other semicon companies last time to work for, but now i am not sure Penang has the same level of attractiveness still...

If you are a non native Penangite that is working in Penang, why did you choose Penang?
