I just had a new Tesla model 3 for 3 days (rental). Good experience, superchargers just work and I was told it’s even better when you have a home charger. Go home, plug in, wake up next day with a fully charged car. No need to go gas stations touch dirty gas pump guns.

Instant torque, the car feels planted, drives so much better than unreliable BMW/Audi/Mercedes crap. I can even live inside this thing cos there are so many good tech. Sleeping in it feels so secure and calm.

Now don’t say want balik kampung cannot. Eh, how many times you go? Once every two years? It’s all about managing expectations. You can rent a car or take a flight then get a taxi like grab

Ok, now I'm in California and considering a 2025 TM3 performance rental for USD200 a day (all inclusive, 0 collision damage)

car rental is at all time high now (fuck covid). even a fucking camry is USD105 a day. I wonder if it's worthwhile to top up for the Tesla experience but man it's almost double.

But i haven't really driven a car that does 0-60 mph in sub 5 seconds lol. If it's cheap in KL, then I rather save and do it there instead

One month in Jakarta after election

Ok, so my company asked me to do some business development is a totally new market, Jakarta. I'm going to stay at least 2 months there to network and try to promote our products.

It's a foreign country to me as it's my first time in Jakarta. I'll be on a tourist visa and per ASEAN agreement, we are given 30 days upon arrival so I'll probably do a visa run when it's up.

Anybody living there now? Do you know where I can rent a studio apartment besides airbnb? what's the CBD area called? also, can I conduct meetings productively with biz professionals in english?

I looked it up on airbnb and it's USD300 per month for a studio apartment? seems too affordable to be true.

I've been kind and trying to unsubscribe their email spam (3x a day) the gentleman's way but their fucking UI does not work. Nothing happens when 'Unsubscribed' button is clicked.

I’m driving to Thailand. Quite a long journey from SG so I think by the time I reach one of the two land checkpoints, they’re already closed, if not open 24 hours.

Which checkpoint has the best border town if I want to stay one night before heading to Thailand?

It’s the first time I drive my car into Thailand so I think paperwork would also take time. Probably better to go in early morning.

i don't understand why people keep complaining phone storage not enough. dO YoU GuYs NoT hAve ClOuD SToRaGe?

i keep all my shit on my shitty 2021 128gb iphone with 2TB family icloud subscription (USD9.99 a month). every photo gets uploaded immediately. I never run of of space despite having thousands of full res videos.

and I never worry about losing my phone. if I did lose it, a restored iphone with all my data is in my hand within 2 hours.

i sell enterprise software. the other day I brought my singaporean malay co-worker (he handles customer support) to a sales meeting with a malaysia gov body. i was presenting everything in standard malay but when it's his turn to present (only a small part anyway), he spoke entirely in english.

I think we might lose this customer. I checked with him after the meeting and he said they speak english at home??? wtf man. they have the cheek to list bahasa melayu as their state language.

in a mall now and wanted to chill in a starbucks. a busker sang for fucking 4 hours with a huge speaker, right in front of the shop. was feeling meh in the beginning then started to feel annoyed cos it was so loud.

moved to another mall and there is another busker.. damn do they belong to a syndicate or..? i've only recently noticed them.

busk all you want but please with natural sound? not using a loud speaker to deafen everyone with amplified noise.
