Went to buy lemang and rendang ayam for lunch (since yindians dont eat beef yo). So saw this stall side of the road, lots of lemang cooking, lots of prepacked rendang. Stopped car, told to the fella give me the smallest lemang for one person. He took and cut quickly .. then i asked him for one tupperware of rendang ayam. He looked at me and said, 'Oh ayam takde, rendang daging boleh ker?'

This right here is why most non dont respect malais. If i was selling the lemang and i saw an indian walking to buy, the first thing I would tell him immidiately is, 'Bang, nak gi tau, rendang daging je ade bang, ayam takde'. That little common courtasy goes a long way.

Anyways, since he already cut the lemang, i bought it anyways. Drove around found another shop and got the rendang ayam there. No point leaving him with an open lemang and ruin his Raya

As of the moment, the couple is planning to visit the U.S in a month or so to celebrate their honeymoon. But, once that is done, Emily claimed that she is going to settle down in India with her unemployed husband and her in-laws in that very Ahmebadad slum.
Well, we’re at a loss for words. But we do wish the very best for these two lovebirds!

/k parent who put money in PTPTN

I know, if you are a working adult, pumping in RM8k per year gives you some sort of tax entitlement. But from a parent's perspective, do you see a good value keeping this money in PTPTN for like 5-10 yrs. What other benefit as a non, do we see money kept here, as opposed to leaving it in KWSP instead (taking the tax benefit out of the question) ?

I meant for this to be a serious conversation, no trolling etc.

Here are the facts.
* School holiday starts next week
* Spiderman NoWayHome could be the biggest movie to hit the cinema this year after the long lockdown
* Anyone can enter, as long they are vaccinated
* Masks are mandatory

Here's the concerns (maybe overthinking but open for discussion)
* Though mask is mandatory, who is checking they are always worn throughout the movie. Some slackers will just lower it knowing they might not get caught
* Vaccinated ppl can enter, but what if these ppl are vaccinated in March this yet without booster. The strength of the vaccine, would it be gone by now after 8 month ish?
* Food is served, most people will keep their masks lowered to eat and drink. Chances are these masks will be kept lowered till all the food is consumed. So the chance of them catching the virus is high. We do not know how much is done to improvise the ventalition of these cinemas. No evidence of them claiming ventilation has been improved.

Before ppl start screaming, 'If you dont feel safe just dont watch'. That's not the point here. My point is, is it really safe to open up cinemas, are we really ready for it? Or maybe all required preventive measures are in place now and we are in better position to open cinemas now.

Leave $$ in EPF or use it to pay House Loan?

Here's the scenario :
- We heard about the Tier based interest for EPF, so the more we contribute potentially the less the interest (i may be understanding this wrongly)
- I have House Loan, left about RM160k, paying RM1400 per month
- EPF eligibility to withdraw RM69K for house

My thoughts, if I withdraw my EPF of that RM69k and pay my house, that brings down my total loan from RM160k to about RM91k. That over the years would save more money by paying less interest gained from loan ... as compared to the interest i gain leaving that in EPF
